What s The Reason You re Failing At Item Upgrading
World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.
For example an item with the upgrade template that ends in % will take on 3% attack damage every time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).
Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost rises with item's level.
Components
Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets to give them a stat boost or to add an additional effect. These can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading, or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be used on devices that have slots. The item must be upgraded to blue level before the component can be applied. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's applied to (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of that equipment that require less Upgrade Crystals than would be required to achieve the same level of upgrade through normal methods.
A 'boost' upgrade can alter the attack or defence characteristics of a weapon, or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or by buying them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.
The player is able to have a maximum of five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-level version of the item will appear in the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they're not sure of how much it will improve after a future reset.
The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process can be costly, and there is a substantial risk that the item may be obsolete or even break when it fails. A failure to upgrade can cause the destruction of the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also offer an additional bonus when they are reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, including any existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in various ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as you can.
In the endgame you'll find that the Best item upgrade way to improve your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade items component that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes much faster.
Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.
Each Glyph has a particular range of values that can enhance a stat by, and the value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with an Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.
Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the various Glyphs as well as some rare Glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be put on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.
Utilizing Glyphs Glyph will boost all nodes connected to it, and you should aim to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids, for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also want to consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.
Leveling
The item upgrading system allows players to improve the stats of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is commonly known as "upping". Every upgradeable item has an amount that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded until they reach a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each level of an item requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab of a crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to level up the item, and when enough points have been earned, the upgrade will be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When an individual player upgrades an item the original item will be replaced by the new item. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set of bonuses. This could be a problem, as it can make the item more expensive if you don't require it.
If the player has enough tokens, they can roll the upgrade of their item. The item will be replaced by a brand new one that has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This is a good idea, but shouldn't be done often as it can be a waste of resources.
Certain upgrades can be rerolled multiple times which increases their value and allowing the player to customize their gear. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or does not swim as dolphins). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time increasing the max roll by a factor of 10. This item is very useful in PvP. A properly rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of the non-upgraded counterpart.
Requirements
Item upgrading allows players to increase the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets above ilvl 385--by presenting the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader (please click the next post) NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense of the base set and upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.
All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Each each time you upgrade an item, it is given an opportunity to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you go beyond the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will result in the item returning to its original condition and the player having to spend additional resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.
If an item is not able to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it gained, such as the chance to crit, attack damage, or other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time, or reloading speed). However, the user can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.
If an item upgrader kit is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded gains a crit chance increase, the increase will be applied before any damage to attack increases. Slots is a new attribute that was added to item upgrades definitions. The value is recalculated every time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item may have five upgrades at a cost of 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items have a lower cost per upgrade.
Premium items could have different upgrade requirements than regular gear. For example they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. However, players will have to visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each upgrade requires the use of different ingredients for upgrading.
