What Freud Can Teach Us About Item Upgrade

World of Warcraft Item Upgrade and Set Bonuses

The upgrade to an item is a kind of enchantment that increases the stats in certain weapons or armor. This includes tertiary stats like Leech or Speed.

A special item for evolution that allows Porygon to evolve into Porygon2. This item can be found at Pokestops or Gyms.

Universal upgrades can be utilized on any type of equipment and offer less benefits than other components that are equipment type specific to the equipment type.

Leveling

Upgrades allow players to upgrade items by increasing their levels. The item's "guaranteed bonuses" are also enhanced by the level increment. Each level upgrade gives an additional bonus based on the tier and increases a stat by +3. These bonuses can vary from a +1 bonus to +3 bonus, or random buffs or debuffs.

Each item can be upgraded for a specific number of times. However, after an upgrade the item can be changed to a higher-leveled item which is of equal or greater value.

This method is beneficial for those who want to acquire gear with a specific level of stats prior to acquiring a new item. Transfer is easy to use and lets players avoid wasting upgrade materials.

Upgrade materials can be collected by players as they clear content. They can then be used to upgrade or replace an item. Each item requires a different type of upgrade material. Weapons require Destruction stones while armor items require Guardian or Harmony Leapstones. When an item is upgraded, these materials are renamed. For example, Stone Fragments becomes Stones and Harmony Shards becomes Life Shards.

It is important to upgrade items in order to increase the performance of a character. However it is equally important to consider how much this will cost. The cost of upgrading an item can be a significant amount of gold which could have been better spent on new equipment. This cost is the reason why it is recommended to upgrade item only the most important items in any given situation.

This typically means upgrading the weapon first, then the legs and chest before the helm. If the player is able to afford it upgrading trinkets must be done at this point to increase their proc potential. For instance, a top-of-the-line Throne of Thunder trinket may be worth upgrading due to the greater damage it can cause from its procs. However, some trinkets are not worth upgrading unless they can provide a significant upgrade in a specific build. This is especially true for some breakpoint gear that are used to calculate high-value stats such as IAS or FHR.

Rerolling

Rerolling is an action that lets players alter the stats of a weapon, rings, or armor depending on the type of item. It can be used to replace existing bonuses or to create new ones. It can also alter the base power of the item.

Rerolling is a great method to increase your strength in the early stages, but it's not necessary. Once you've reached your level 6 upgrade goal it's generally better to reroll and find the best upgrades you can or save funds to buy the next set of items. This will help you have a strong team by the time you get to your level 9 upgrade item goal.

The rerolling process is similar to that of the system of leveling up. Reroll tokens can be used to take away any Level Up option and replace it with a different one. However, unlike Level Up, reroll tokens don't reset the item upgrader mod's level. This means that when you reroll an upgraded item, it won't be at the same level, and will not receive the bonus.

In addition to rerolling, players may make use of a specific technique called Eliminate to remove any one Level Up option from their weapons or equipment. This is useful when you have a bad gacha or want to roll an item that has five stars. You'll need to set up an account from scratch or sign in via social media.

Similarly, there is an Occultist in each town that can be visited to alter a weapon or armor's Aspects, stats, or attributes. This is useful if you are looking to improve your epic five-star unit or even if your four-star elite player isn't working for you.

Another way to reroll an item is by using the rerolling tokens obtained through the completion of quests. These can be bought from the Occultist at 300 gold or found in holozons that are dropped in certain dungeons. You can reroll any weapon, armor or ring by moving the icon on the page of your unit and locking the lock in the desired slot.

Sets

A set is a set of items that share some similarity. Sets are utilized every day. For example dozen eggs or a group of friends. They are helpful because they let you organize things, and operations such as intersection, union and difference can help you manage them efficiently. Sets can be used in many ways, such as organizing music on a list of play lists or classifying students according to their grades.

In Nioh the game uses Sets to provide special effects when players wear pieces of a set of armor. These bonuses are referred to as Set Bonuses and can be superior to Effects. Although it's not clear why the armor sets have to be worn together in order to produce these additional effects, they are a nice method to alter the game when playing the game. The armor sets that come with Set Bonuses can be found in many places around Hyrule like the Dark Moon Temple and Twilight Temple.

Each piece of equipment included in a Set includes a set of Set Bonuses associated with it. You can find out which ones are available by hovering over the item and examining the tooltip near the bottom. Set Bonuses are displayed in a box that has a red border.

Some of these bonuses are exclusive to specific pieces of equipment. If you have the complete Phantom Armor set, you will get +8 defense (instead of the standard +3 defense you get with most equipment). Other sets are available only through specific quests or buying them through the Auction House.

It is also possible to get Set Bonuses on multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously. If you have the entire Kestra's Descent Set and the corresponding parts of Twinblade of Shadow, you will receive the version with the + set's bonus if you soul be able to match them.

In contrast to Effects that change each time you upgrade them, Set Bonuses stay identical even as the pieces of equipment they're attached to level up. If an item's exemplar is too low, then the set bonus won't be effective.

Set bonuses

Set bonuses are a special effect that can appear on a set of gear that can give a bonus in battle. They grant a specific percentage of a specific statistic, like damage to weapons, defenses or resistances. They do not stack, however; only one of them will work at any given moment. The amount of a stat is determined by how many pieces of the set have been used which means you can have three chests, one armour, and four weapons, for instance, but only the one that has the most bonus will benefit you.

They typically enhance the primary stat but certain bonuses increase secondary stats too. Defence bonuses boost three positional defense values and two typed defenses, so for example a complete five-piece set of Hundings Rage will add up to a total of around 400 defense in your gear. This is a significant boost in the gear you use as a melee.

This is a great feature, and it is believed to be one of the most popular features in the game. Currently only a few sets of gear come with set bonuses. They are only available on the Test Realm. However, the number of set bonuses is expected to increase once the update is out. For example, the incredibly popular 7 school specific Dragoon's gear will be getting its bonus added when the update hits Live.

While Set Bonuses do not stack within a set, they do stack between different sets. This is a great option for players who want to mix sets in the most efficient way. It requires some planning. Set bonuses only affect the shell (not the armoring or mods) of an item of equipment, therefore you need to be careful when putting them in.

A key point to note is that a set bonus's strength is not affected in the event that you exemplarize more than three levels below the minimum level that is allowed for an Enhancement of that type. This rule does not apply to Purple (Very rare) Sets PvP Sets, Sets for PvP and Archetype Origin Sets. Their set bonuses are in effect regardless of exemplar level.
