This is particularly beneficial for early game runs, because players tend to put the scaling of weapons and defenses over raw damage gains.

Luck can also boost the chance of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This should not be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chance of upgrading that increases with each item level and can be further enhanced through the use of an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons can be created or spawned using the Luck property, which has the default value of 40. These items can be augmented with golden ingots or spined leather (depending on the type of material) to add another 40 luck, or to increase the Luck of an item up to 140.

Certain items, like the weapon with Hollow-infused components can also be outfitted to increase the damage dealt by any skill that causes damage by 5percent. These items can be bought at the store or crafted using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades are successful. Cash shop items can be used to boost the chances of success for an upgrade or to stop players from losing their item in the event that it fails.
