15 Things To Give The Item Upgrading Lover In Your Life
World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The item upgrade allows players to boost the gear rating of an item level upgrade up to 700 points and add a bonus. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory before heading to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading due to their unique stats. (For example the perfect broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items like weapons don't change much after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth the cost.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, like attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. They also have an unchanging bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. Some weapons also come with a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are used in a group. In some cases this bonus can add up to more than the amount of damage that a weapon is able to upgrade by itself.
The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity and level. For example, an +2 weapon requires two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the gun will increase until it requires an upgrade item to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.
Upgrades to weapons also alter the stats of the base. While this is generally a good thing however, it could have negative effects as well. Upgrades can make items impossible to use, unless you are very lucky.
It is possible to upgrade armor items to increase their effectiveness. This can increase the base defense of a chest or helm as well as belts and gloves. These will boost their required strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it can sometimes roll down to a lower value.
The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats it will gain upon upgrading along with the relative value of those stats. This means that a weapon will gain an attack damage of 3% if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% difference does not mean that the weapon will be hit three times less, since it is an absolute number.
Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button within the item menu with the circling arrows. This will reroll an item and alter its stats but not reset the weapon's level or connect it to an account's status.
Armor
A few armor upgrades can make a huge difference to your survivability. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE increases in poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, which can make the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the greater defense you have on your character, the greater health you can gain from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains within the game, and to unlock each one you have to complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the primary side quest and have completed the corresponding fountain and then you can contact any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels, and the amount of material and Rupees needed for each level will differ. In general, you'll be looking at anywhere between three Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the first upgrade, then anywhere between five Rubies and ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. For example, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep pace with a good-sized group of enemies in most cold conditions and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, providing you enough protection to withstand the full-on assault with a few friends.
It isn't possible to upgrade armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is best to focus on upgrading your armor to increase physical strength or the power of spells. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll wear at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you wear to fight the final boss and the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.
You can also get some perks for your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally speaking, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer, but it can be useful to have a few upgrades of the chest armor and helmets to let you stealthy battle some monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the player, give the player with a temporary effect for a short period of time. There are five types of potions, each with different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to increase their level of effectiveness. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.
Upgrades to potion require a certain amount XP. This can be obtained by crafting them on a craft table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. The upgrade price varies depending on the type of potion and the item's Rarity and Mark Level.
To upgrade a potion to the next level, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI that allows you to choose the potion that you would like to upgrade and the amount of experience they will give you when upgraded. The upgrade of potions can be completed in batches of up to five at a single time, and the XP that they generate will be added to your current XP level.
Once a potion is upgraded, it will not degrade until you re-use it, or break the bottle it's stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to rename it.
There were some changes to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. For instance splash potions now have a duration of 0.08 seconds (this is not the equivalent of 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display of the item upgrade). The table of potion can now be crafted with four Wood Planks and two Glass. It is now able to be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Unlike the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions can't be combined in cauldrons. Also, putting a potion on a full cauldron, it drains the liquid and replenishes the bottle.
Finally, there are simmering potions made using splash and dragon breath potions. Similar to lingering potions, the' effect is extended by adding redstone to it. The table of potions is organized more closely to the Java Edition, and new potions were added such as the potion of leaping, the potion of decomposition, and turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket can be described as a small and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It may be a reference to an object or decoration that serves a function but is not particularly important like a trinket. In certain cultures, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, specifically between family members.
Trinkets can be upgraded by players as well as weapons and armor, as well as potions. They can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Unlike other item upgrades, trinkets can be swapped out at will without losing their stats.
The upgrade vendors are found in major cities and in the capital of each zone, as well as in in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are purchased with gold, tokens or fragments of rare trinkets.
Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to buying a brand new trinket. It can be done by players for less than 12 tokens. The new trinket comes with the same level of base as the old trinket but will also have an additional 1% bonus upgrade.
When the old Trinkets are no longer usable, they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase both their power and value with time. They can also be traded between players, making them an extremely popular alternative to gold.
In general players should upgrade their top-priority items first. This usually means the Best item upgrade-in-slot items for their class, followed by their secondary items and finally, other pieces of gear that they won't replace soon (for example an earring or cloak). When deciding which items to upgrade, players should also consider the class's preferred stats. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for tank players and they want to upgrade their chest, helm, and shoulders.
Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level once they're no longer needed, and the new trinket will receive an additional upgrade bonus of 1. However, a re-upgrade will cause the trinket to be destroyed until it is salvaged using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or a higher-tier salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades but still cheaper than buying new ones.
