Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades can increase the performance of a piece of gear and sometimes even its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by the gear's tiers, their requirements, and how many random augmentations can be applied.
For example, the elite shield of racial violence Razortail is often upgraded to enhance its lightning absorb function in PvP or to add additional defenses to missile-based designs in PvM. This makes it more marketable than the perfect non-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens allow you to roll a purchased item level upgrade like an armor, weapon or ring. This allows you to swap the item for one similar one, with a different set of extra bonuses. Reroll tokens are an efficient method of upgrading equipment. However, they don't keep the level of the original item and any resources that are wasted won't be compensated for.
Survivors can obtain Reroll tokens in a variety of ways, including through the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can be found in chests and crates, or purchased from the market at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to change an attribute of a piece of equipment that could include increasing its damage or granting it a brand new stat.
Players can reroll their equipment using three categories that include physical power, magical power and health. Physical power upgrades boost the damage caused by weapons and melee attacks, while spell power boosts mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades give the player additional health.
There are three types of Reroll tokens: upgrade, rare, and legendary. Each of these upgrades an item to a better quality and requires a higher-quality reroll token order to create it. Upgrades require a common item. Rare upgrades require items that are either exclusive or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.

Leveling
Leveling is an option that allows you to boost the power of weapons and armor. You can also upgrade trinkets and helms. It's done by the combination of an item with upgrades at the Upgrade Station and paying a cost of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The upgrade components will be used up and the item will be upgraded to a higher level. This process continues until the item is at its highest level.
Items with upgraded base stats will display the blue icon in their slot. In contrast to enchantments, upgrade components do not stack against each other, and can only be added to a single item at one time. Furthermore each upgrade component will require a certain quantity of items to be applied and an initial level for the equipment.

Upgrade components are a form of equipment that can be inserted into armor, weapons trinkets and gathering tools to provide an additional bonus or effect while the equipment is in use. They can be purchased from vendors, looted or obtained by completing quests or traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced by new ones, but doing so will destroy the previous upgrade, excluding for glyphs that can be removed and replaced freely.
Requirements
Item upgrades give players the ability to increase certain stats of weapons and armor they currently own. The requirements for upgrading an item vary depending on the kind of item however, generally you'll require Dilithium as well as a few Upgrade Tokens (various options available).
Items can be upgraded by adding upgrade components to equipment and weapons. This will give them additional effects or an increase in item level. These upgrades can be gotten from various sources in the game, including crafting, bought at the Trading Post or karma vendors, looted from bosses and raids, or dropped from dungeons. Once an upgrade component has been inserted into an object, it cannot be removed or replaced. However, glyphs can be swapped freely.

For example, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" improves base defense, and adds an extra 20% chance of blocking. The dps "Wildfire", on the other hand increases damage to weapons.
Some items benefit from being upgraded less because of their improved stats, but because it allows players to get the maximum amount of value from a perfect roll on the item. For instance, a flawlessly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50x more than the non-upp'd version.
When you choose an upgrade component to slot into an item level upgrade the game will display an in-game window that lists the required requirements. The game will show the requirements required when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.
The game will add an item in your inventory after you have completed the prerequisites for an upgrade. The progress bar will update to show you how far you are to getting the upgrade completed. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by visiting any item upgrader NPC.
