The best automatic vacuum and mop Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on mopping and robot vacuum combos. These multitaskers are an excellent choice for those who want to take mopping off their to-do list. Some have great mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads themselves to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model you need to choose if you want a robot vacuums that mop vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list making it easier to navigate in tight corners and under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in robot vacuums. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery part way through cleaning.
It's extremely efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and the hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in one go. The suction motor's 8,000pa will quickly pick up dirt, crumbs and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets and the double side brush assists in removing debris from corners.
The mopping performance is less impressive, but not by much. The rotating mop spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful when getting into tight corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to collect larger pieces of debris, like broken toys and books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't produce as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to install, and it works well. However when you purchase this vacuum solely for mopping purposes you must pay attention to this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners who want a highly effective, versatile and adaptable cleaning machine.
The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the house, identify furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean methodically and effectively. This will ensure an efficient and consistent cleaning, while also being relatively fast.
In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach an array of surface areas. These include corners, baseboards, and other hard-to-reach spots. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. In addition the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce odors.
Another noteworthy feature is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo allows you to alter the strength of suction and select between a back-and-forth or slightly more random pattern. You can also select the number of passes which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also choose to disable the side brush to prevent damaging rugs and carpets.
The device has a high price tag but comes with a large selection of innovative features. It is important to note, however, that the device will incur periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For example the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad needs to be replaced every three to six months.
This robot vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and includes a wide range of physical automation features. This includes a power button that doubles as a general 'Clean button as well as a Home button that will take it back to its base station after finishing the cleaning process. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a busy professional or someone who just wants an organized home that doesn't require a lot of time on chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent option. It is a powerful machine with smart navigation, and a long battery life that allows you to keep your home clean with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a two-in-one mop and vacuum. It can do both mopping and vacuuming. The robot comes with two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping unit with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of position. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may appear a bit dated, but they do mean you don't have to worry about changing bags for disposables or refilling the water tank.
Our test participants discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its best robot vacuum and mop feature was its accurate floorplan map which it uses to create an outline for cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers that help to keep certain areas of your home from being swept with a mop.
We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing pet hair. It was able capture a large amount of hair our cats shed and even got into the nooks and crevices of our stairs while other robots struggled. It was quiet and had some pleasant jingles that indicated when it was starting or finishing its work.
The biggest flaws were its simple app and the necessity to change out the modules whenever switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app cannot save multiple maps. This can be an issue if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want a smart robot vacuum uk that can perform both mopping and vacuuming.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it does have some unique features which make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its enormous dock that doubles as a charging base and housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning as well as the 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically eliminates.
The base comes with several control buttons that allow you to manually start cleaning tasks or recall the robot, or use the dock's auto vacuum and mop-emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to switch on the child lock, which is a nice option for parents concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.
The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path. It will stay clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni can sometimes get so entangled with an obstruction, such as a power cord draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you free it. This is a rare event however, it was a bit frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its app.
The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad however, the mopping pad isn't cleaned or dried between use. This could lead to mildew and mold.
On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a significant change from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome view in a market which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
