How? Brawl's a big game, You expect that small ammount of characters to appear in the game? it's not like there weren't 2 pokémons with the same effect in Melee.

Well cause they both do the same exact thing. Push you off the stage.

Ugh, that just spells disaster. They need Pokemon from Red and Blue only (unless it's Suicine).

So? There was Togepi and Clefairy with the same effect in Melee, Mew and Celebi too, Cyndaquil was a weaker version of Charizard, Entei and Ho-Oh made the same explosion Except for Ho-oh's being bigger, Staryu was the same thing as Chikorita except that Staryu followed your opponent.

Marill pushed you with his belly, Piplup uses Surf, a bigger, stronger and better looking move. I believe they'll let Marill in with his weaker variation of a Similar move.

It's posible that they'll follow the same Weak and Strong formula with Piplup being Marill's stronger variation. ;)

What's with all the Piplup hate?

We've basically always had the most recent starters in each Smash in pokeballs, and I see no reason not to have it here. (The only exception is that there was oddly an absence of any member of the totodile family in melee... *grumble*)

Oh, and before someone mentions it,  Ruby/Sapphire were a good year after Melee.

Yeah I know I'm proving that Piplup's a good addition and not a replacement, I'm seeing some Pokémons from the 64 game back, I'm not sure about Meowth though, He may turn out into a playable character which would be a great addition let me say.

Well that actually makes no sense since Marill has a baby form and piplup is already in its first for so.. Anyway, when you put it that way I guess theres a chance Marill might be in again but remember that from SSB to SSBM the only pokemon that were kept were Snorlax and Clefairy (goldeen doesn't really count). Beedrill was replaced by Unknown, Hitmonlee was replaced by Scizor ( >:P ) and some others escape me right now :P All I'm saying is that since there was no Smash Bros. during the release of Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald and now that theres Diamond and Pearl pokemon to be put it in, I figured Sakurai would replace some to make room for the newer pokemon (Deoxys, Groudon, piplup, etc.)

I have nothing against piplup btw, Empoleon kicks @$$ lol (even though I still like Torterra better :P )

I expect at least 70 Pokémons this time, I mean, This game's huge, PKMNs were given it's own section that means we have a lot of PoKéMoNs, so we'll see more PKMNs return from both Melee and the First SSB.

I hope they put some final evolution Pokemons, like Blaziken or Blastoise as playable...pikachu and jugglypuff just looks cute, those two look cool :)
I don´t really know the 4th gen pokemons,but i think Piplup is ok <_<|...|
