personally i do prefer to play with out items...not that im not good with items its just that when i played with them ppl started saying i was a cheater so i turned it off. just a questions to all who played melee what do you guys think about that. cuz im thinking about doing the same in brawl i have decided yet.

Man, I LOVE fighting without the weapons. Sometimes I'm having a GREAT battle and I lose because a damn Bomb-omb literally dropped out the blue and right onto Fox's head with 200%!  So yea, I don't do it too much for the same reason, but I guess I just prefer to fight without the randomness sometimes. Depending on the match, sometimes they fit for me, and other times they don't.

For me, Final Destination + No Weapons = Epic battles (with skilled fighters included.)

Do you know how I can view the stores? It wont show, even if I download it!

not really items, kinda of just get in the way somethings, u ever play a match with one other skilled player and the other people just suck that is the worst, ill be sitting there battling it out with the dude and random things keeps getting thrown my way like pokeballs and crap, so now I gotta turn my attention away from a good fight to go kill the waste of space that is very annoying

and also did anyone knew that links shield allowed you to be safe from projectiles while you stood there? i hope he still has it

Yeah, I was Fox and I still owend, if I would have been serious with Link, they would have goten raped! ! And yes, he still has the shield trick on brawl!

I when I first read that, haha, that's EXACTLY how I feel! I can play both with and without them, but the unpredictability of it sometime messes up what's a pretty heated battle. Let's say you started out with four players and the battle was FIERCE until there were only two of you left...both with one life. Your opponent has about 134% with Captain Falcon and you got 98% with Fox. So the battle is fast paced and brutal, but now you've got him at 173% while he only put you at 110%. He slips and leaves an opening so you go in for the kill...*ping!* Congratulations, you fought hard and endured, just to have an exploding barrell land in front of your kick. Game Over. YOU LOSE.

fox is nothing compared to marth. and u say sheik is not a good counter to fox but she is in many many ways trust me. fox cant keep up with her speed and how her flow is when you go from move to move. fox does have skills no doubt so im not bashing him but i mean the fact that he falls fast works against him. he is a nuisance at times but to tell you the truth i put him down at 20 percent then 40 percent and when he tried to make it back dragon slayer finished

well, marth is good, with all that swordplay and the speed of his blade

and shiek is also the best for me too. I even use the c-stick for hard hitting meteor smashes and she is a kickass break dancer

now falco gives me problems cuz of his reach but in the end he is easier to beat than fox from wat i have faced against. marth is all around and if you play him right its even hard to ko him at 150 percent but by the same token that goes for falco if used properly but not for fox for sum reason. wow sonic is fast . to tell you the truth im afraid to play brawl. im afraid the skills that i apply to brawl wont be as good.
