There has been some interesting news..... I checked with of other sites, and all confirmed the info as legit

Ridley is both a boss, and playable....

This site revealed three secret characters, AND the method to unlock them long before this leak happened.

Falco: 15 minute melee

Jigglypuff: beat Target Smash with (X) no. of characters.

Ridley: Beat SSE (Subspace Emissary) with Samus Aran.  I'm not quite sure..... but here's hopeful.  I'd assume this is Meta Ridley, seeing as he was smaller in his Metroid Prime appearence.

Hm. The Ridley part still seems sketchy to me, since there're different teams in SSE, although it seems like you have to have Samus in your party AND use her to beat the game. That could be it, but I don't know yet.

I can't remember which vid that was (I mean the date of it), but I think that's the fake roster.

He's the equivanlent of our Serebii, the guy that made that monster poke'mon site.

As for Ridley.  Hope.  Hope and dream. 

And... Everyone in the spoiler looks like they're unlocked through SSE..... doesn't that seem odd?

Oh hell yeah that seems odd, since there were some characters in Melee that were unlocked in other ways, such as Falco and Mewtwo.
And if Ridley were to be a playable character, he'll most likely be in his Meta-Ridley form, since that was much smaller than his actual size.
