MUGEN/CONSOLE

I myself have pretty much lost faith in console gaming. Maybe a month or two after getting rid of all my systems I discovered mugen. Now Im satisfied really. I only played FPS, Basketball, Fighters, Boxing & Racing games on console anyway. I tried role playing on hand helds and loved it becuase I had time to kill but I cant do it with consoles. I want instant action if Im gonna sit on a game. Not a drug out story & turn based battle. I still play console games at other friends and other peoples places b/c they wont see me in mugen but thats it. Im not too impressed with a lot of fighters on current and next gens. The FPS games are the only ones that really catch my eye now. Plus I dont wanna waste 50$-60$ on a game after a 400$-600$ console.

not me. I still have my old NES from when I was 5 and I just turned 23... I will be buying a PS3 sometime this year though, so I'll never part with console gaming. mugen is a good hobby (still wish I woulda known about it back in 02/03, killed a lot of time on the net doing stupid ish...) but as long as I can have mugen on a console I dont think I'll give mugen up anytime soon, I grew up on fighting games, cant leave it alone

about the newer consoles though: I just buy games and accessories in the months leading to the I purchase, so when I buy this huge paperweight I have stuff to do. Had 4 games for the 1st xbox before I bought my first one, and had about 5 PS2 games/10 PS1 games before I bought that...

Right now I Mugen 70% of my game time and Wii 30% of my game time.

Well all i have is a ps2 want to get a ps3 but will someday. I agree that mugen is good for fighting games when your tired and bored of all the latest fighting for awhile but when you want ppl to play you and if you want the most balanced and accurate thing then consoles is the way to go for fighting games, plus for other things like shooters and storytellers and such. But like MunkyFunk said if you want more out of the ordinary char selection, action and constant updates of stuff for fighting games instead on waiting on capcom,snk and others to finally join the bandwagon then mugen is the way to go. Anyways for me right now mugen 60% consoles 40%

you need to get "super mario galaxy" as well. I hear it's INCREDIBLE!    get "guitar hero III" for the Wii, for now, until "Rock Band" becomes a Wii game. My cousin got GHIII for the Wii, she frickin LOVES it! She & her 2 brothers ROCK OUT!
I actually got "guitar hero II" for the 360 for christmas...killer game...killer...game!

To be honest, i havnt played mugen allot lately.
I have a folder full of unziped files to add to my roster and play, but i find my time eaten up by what im working on.
Only hobby i stoped was frakengundaming, but im still using those skills with all the frakensprtiting ive been doing for mugen. Now im also making some sprites for Judgespear's mario fan game.
Also its a matter of me not having money or a place to play.
The only console i own that works right now is my gamecube, my bro has a ps2 and xbox (but the ps2 he plays ff11 on and the xbox is my mom's dvd player now)
I love the Wii and wish i had one again, and i would play it if i had one and the room.
But i dont even have a room of my own right now.
And i still play my dice and paper rpg's with friends once a week and i play older games on roms sometimes.
But making pics is taking up most of my hobby time.

Well truthfully I neglected my game consoles because of mugen as soon as I learned about it 1 year ago.Then I went back to my game consoles and neglected mugen.It kept going back and forth until I decided to make a nice little crossover manga(That I'm still currently working on now)So I neglected both for it.
      BUT playing mugen on a game console is possible the systems mugen can be played on are these

1.Xbox Best one to use
2.Nintendo Wii
3.PS3
4.Xbox360
5.PSP(But it's infinity cat though)
6.Dreamcast

So far those are the only systems that can play mugen.I only know how to do it on Xbox.To do it on Xbox you need to have an Xbox with a modchip or softmodded,Then you need to download this software for DVD burning and you need a DVD Burner then you.........Well Truthfully I forgot the rest.There's a website that tells you how to play mugen on Xbox.As soon as I can remember what it is I'll link it up here.

Gamecube Cannot play mugen but the others you named can.

Alright...I kinda don't use Mugen much, I'd rather play Dead Rising or Gears of Wars on my 360 or Mario Galaxy, Godzilla Unleashed or DBZ Sparking Neo on My Wii since those 2 fighting styles can't be translated to Mugen, SSB can't either, I also have my fair share of Platforming, Shooting and Sandbox with the other games mentioned before, I also like the HD-TV Room( Were we have the video Players, all 4 Consoles and all that jazz. ) more than my own room.

I still play it every now and then, Sometimes I give it a rest for a month then I get back at it.
