Palette Making
« on: December 27, 2007, 10:47:30 AM »
As of today I am testing my strengths with making palettes with FF.
Seems to be fairly easy but I am caught up on some issues Im sure others have ran into. (color organization)
If u have any insight, advice, tutorial or what so ever to assist me it would be appreciated if you post here.

Hopefully, I will be able to get it tight so I can contribute to the community. I already tried my hand at chars and gave up. So...lets say this is a baby step to getting back at it.

*could really use help with saving properly....still kinda lost on that.

:EDiT: If I dont save the ACT file but I have the GiF & PCX , do I have to do everything again and save an act?

Yeah depending on the character's color seperation pal editing can be easy or frustrating.
You could always do stuff like selecting every shade of one color on a character like say, blue...
and hit the swap blue and green or red and blue swap.
Also there are other options down there to play with.
But if you want to say turn ryu's Gi purple that isnt too hard.
You can zoom in and select the color (but make sure you click that color in the box after finding it so you dont have more the one box selected)

Also when saving just make sure you give the act file a good name.

Now to show it off all you do is over on the left in the main fighter factory window it shows what palettes are open.
Now you can open your pal and add it to that list for a moment.
Then make sure you hit apply changes to palette and move over to yours.
You should see  your new colors, if not hit another pal and hit yours again.

Now just go to the animations, go over to the stance and hit the little catus and it will bring up a gray window with the character's stance animation in your new colors, hit save and it will make a gif for you.
Upload then post and your all set

its that little green button in fighter factory's animation area that lets you save the animation.
I just think it looks like a cactus.

:-?? I thought about that but I didnt wanna bug you. I assumed you were busy. Which in turn was the reason why I had made these threads. Plus, I thought you might have seen the one at $yN's place 1st.

Im also having a lil' fun with FF, right now ;*)) So I havent really given it too much thought.

Ive tried to do that Shin LVL2 request I made with you myself but its been proven to be more difficult with Akuma than others.
