Which System is better SNES or GENS?

Well I choose the Snes because of Chrono Trigger,Final Fantasy,Lufia,Breath of Fire,Super Mario RPG and all the other RPGs the Snes had.Plus I also love super mario,DKC,and Zelda as well.What do you all think?

What I'm really unsure of is which system took the win in the USA?In Europe Gens won,In Japan Snes won.But which one won here?If anyone knows then bring out the answer.

Ok, I figured.

I choose Genesis because I <3 Sega. I grew up with Sega, and it's just sad to see them gone out of the console race and Sonic turning to crap (well a few of his new games)

Genesis was my first console I owned. I played an NES at a dad's friend's house all the time when I was smaller. I remember one random day my Dad said we're going to go pick up a Genesis, I was all excited. I told him I'd rather have a SNES because of the joys Mario brought me, but he said "Nope, this is a lot better!". Well, I remember hooking that beauty up and being in awe from Sonic. He was correct, it was better. I still play my Genesis all the time, it's hooked up 24/7.

That was backin the day... now i'm all old and ish.

My mom had gotten a Sega the year I was born ()
so I literlly grew up on Sonic (AND Roash Rash 2)
of Course Sonic kicks Road Rash's butt
but nothing beats those rock tracks from Road Rash 2, like the title theme...

I was a full supporter of SNES when it first launched, but I also love the Genesis. I just can't see myself saying one is better over the other cuz they both got so many awesome games and I have too many fond memories of both. The Genesis had a lead over Nintendo in the start, but the SNES caught up very quickly and eventually won and dominated Sega in the US. Those were the best two game consoles ever made and I for one miss those good old days  Those 16-bit games had more gameplay than any games today and were a hell of a lot more fun too.

That`s why the Genesis rocked hard!
2 of the best games i`ve ever played were in that console:International SuperStar Soccer Deluxe and Contra 4:The Hard Corps.Besides,the SNES had better graphics capabilities i believe

What surprises me more is that Sega had the upper hand for a little bit then Nintendo took over.I tell you back at that time that's when the competition was the hottest and until Sony came along and f*#^&d it up.

 
Did anyone ever own a Saturn? I have and man wasn't that system sweet.I don't get why ppl said it sucked it had some pretty cool games.Nights,Sonic,(Forgot the name of this game but you play as a toy soldier in a kid's room it was tight)Tengai Makyou(Japanese RPG it rocked)X-Men Vs Streetfighter,Marvelsuperheroes VS Streetfighter(Better on Saturn since you can tag in and out and last but not least Guardian Heroes best game ever.Man Sega had potential.Too bad Sony ran them out of Business.

double lies, the six button controller was a cop out. all the original genesis consoles had 3 buttons. how can they change the layout of a controller after the thing's already at half it's life span? Sony did it too with the analog controller too. I guess that one was meant for six buttons. i never beat Lion King because they kept wanting me to push y and all i had was abc.

I like Gens because it was the first system I owned.
... And Shinobi III was my favorite game back then. Still is one of my fav's.
Vectorman (1 and 2), Sonic (all except Pinball), Altered Beast, both Power Ranger games, TMNT Hyperstone Heist and TMNT: Tournament Fighters, Cyborg Justice, Adventures of Batman & Robin, Terminator, T2: Arcade game, Aladdin, Mortal Kombat 2, Jungle and Desert Strike, Road Rash (all),  Golden Axe 1 and 2, Ristar,  and SoR (1 and 2, I liked SoR more than Final Fight because Blaze was my main char) were also my fav's.

reason being is that I grew up with Sega, proud to say that I stuck with them all the way to the Dreamcast. Great games were on that system (Genesis). But I won't say the SNES sucked, it was good too, but I love my SEGA.
