Chameleon has been progressing very well since the beginning of Spring Break. Overall, I have fixed all of the basics speeds including attacks. Fixed alignment a few times. Modified coding. Added a few sounds. More sounds will most likely be added before the next WIP video.

Unfortunately, I do not have a mic and have not figured out how to record sound without a mic just yet.. so bear with me on that. I'll most likely be purchasing a mic before Chameleon is released.

All I have to do with the ice move now, is put the ice clones in, and then getting the move to work properly.


I have come along way since the last WIP video, which was made in late December. I know I had said I would be making a WIP video in February, but I was dealing with some issues... real-life related, and Chameleon related. Therefore, the WIP video's date will not change anymore.

WIP video will be hosted on the 8th of this month. It will be hosted around 8 pm.. I don't know if you'll be able to see the video that day, because youtube is kinda slow when processing videos.


That's all for now... no more news till the next WIP video is released.

If you don't know how to record sound with your computer, listen to this tutorial.


If it still doesn't work for you. Download "Everest home edition". Google it, it's free.
It will tell you what audio driver you have. When you find out what audio driver you have, look for it (google), and update it. When you update it to the newest version, you will have more features, including record sound.

I have everything backed up VKM... so no worries.. I just didn't want to use my pc while the t-storm was going on, because I didn't want my pc to get fried and then y'all would have to wait longer to see the WIP video.. way longer.. so.. didn't want that to happen..

Don't worry guys... after almost every change I make with Chameleon.. I back it up on my flashy (flash drive  8=|).

Chameleon's 3rd WIP vid is finally here!

What's not shown in the vid is Chameleon's throw and standard ice move.
The ice move still needs to be worked on.
The throw move will be put in the next vid I make. (90% done)


The next vid, showing Chameleon's ice move, will not be uploaded till later this month. The throw move will also be put in the video that will show the ice move.

This new char will feature amazing moves, insane combos, and of course, insane specials.

Well.. I'm sure some... or most of you have watched Chameleon's 3rd WIP vid.

I hope you all enjoyed it. Yes, the red MKvsSF3 hitspark will be the main.. and possibly only hitspark for this Chameleon.

I've been working on the ice move today, and have fixed the commands for the move, so now the move is working almost perfectly.. Um.. I'm now working on the ice clones again.. So.. Chameleon's 3.5 WIP vid will be uploaded later this month..


I'll be working on the throw move after I finish the ice move, which I will hopefully be done with soon.

Regarding Shin Rolento... yes I have already started to sprite this char.. I'm almost done with his stance, actually. Look for more updates on Shin Rolento as time goes..

Yeah.. at first I was thinking of making a completely different Rolento.. but then I decided.. hey.. why not make a Shin Rolento? It's never been done before.. That's when I started coming up with ideas for Shin Rolento.

I know you all are going to love woopin some buttay with Shin Rolento.. Unfortunately.. y'all will have to wait till next year.. Reasons why??.... uh.. well... COLLEGE!! WOOT!!

I'll definitely be starting the process of putting him in FF by November or December, though.. I have to finish all of the sprites first.

I'll give you all a sample of what Shin Rolento will look like later on.

Back on topic: I've basically fixed Chameleon's ice move.. I just need a few more sprites put in, and I have some alignment issues to fix.. then I should be done with the move.

To Update:

- Standard Ice Move is very close to being done.. gotta fix some alignment issues, and then I'll be done with that..

- Throw move is almost done..

Questions Answered:

Is there a super jump?
- Working on it. May be introduced in 4th WIP vid.. if not by then.. then the 5th WIP vid. Most likelyt the 4th WIP vid, though, because the 4th WIP vid will introduce extreme combos, and super jump is a key element in what I have planned for the combos.

Will he have air combos?
- He will have all sorts of combos. I plan on making Chameleon have loads of combos, I have already planned out half of them.


Is the uppercut an intended air combo launcher?
- A separate command for the uppercut will be made so that Chameleon can have an air combo launcher. So.. yes.. an air combo launcher will be implemented.

How does Chameleon take a launching hit?
- Not quite sure on that yet, actually..

Haven't posted for a while, but he is looking good. Glad most of his basic layer is down and complete and aligning, adding CLSN1 and 2's properly is a bit of a bother, but you got it done quite nicely.

Hope to see more of his special moves and combos later on.

I still have so much to put in this char, and I only have a few more months, because I want to release this char (in full) in July or August.. I think it would be great if I release Chameleon on the day that I started him (or around there..), but my psychic sources tell me it's not going to happen... lol..

Um.. so yeah.. 3.5 WIP vid will show only the moves that I upgraded, and will also show the ice move (I have a few glitches to work on, and then that should be finished) and the vid will also show the throw move (which I'm having a hard time getting the actual throw animation down right..)


If anyone is skilled with making the throw moves, and would like to help me with this throw move so it can be done, and so I can be 100% done with all of the basics, then PM me.

 >:-(-| Shin Rolento will not be shown in any vid till mid or late fall..

I'm making a new poll...

It's for you all to decide whether I should make a 3.5 WIP vid (with the ice and other moves incomplete), or you can choose to wait for a 4th WIP vid (with the ice and other moves complete along with me adding more moves)..

It's your choice..

3.5 WIP vid w/ incomplete moves (like the ice move) & not a whole lot of new moves..


or you can wait for a

4th WIP vid w/ complete moves (like the ice move) & a few new moves, along with some extreme combos!

Either way, I'll be doing a 4th WIP vid.. it's up to you to decide whether I should do a 3.5 WIP vid..

No 3.5 WIP vid will be made. The 4th WIP vid will be made in late May.

I'm planning the following to be included in the 4th WIP vid already:
- Ice (standard only)
- Ice Clones

- Spear (standard)
- Green Gellyball (standard)
- Combos (standard, not extreme yet)
- Air Combo Launcher

More will be added later to this list later, once I start to finish the above ones..

Glad to see you moving strong.

Far as the throw move I'd check KFM's CNS and copypaste the code and modify it to your likeing. I could help if you still need too.

From the post above the new W.I.P. video sounds terrffic. When do you think people could begin beta testing? I know I'm not excatly known here for contribuations, so not saying myself just curious is all.

Anyways seeya and keep the goodnews rolling. ^_^
