Like it was said before those reviews are not based upon what they average gamer (and more specifically the gamers that prefer the selected genre) plays...it's based upon what that reviewer expected of the game and what they got out of their experience...half the time they can't really play the games they review which is why I think the whole review community needs to rethink their approach to giving reviews. State the reviews in a way that the listener/reader/watcher KNOWS that this is just YOUR opinion. Stop trying to get the public/gamers to STOP buying certain games in hopes that YOU don't have to see them on shelves anymore just because YOU don't like it. What may have TOTALLY sucked to you may be VERY good o someone else. Like the saying goes, "One man's junk, is another man's treasure." Do more comments like, "If you're a fan of the series, there's plenty anew, but those just jumping aboard, this may be a lackluster experience", and stuff like that (X-PLay's reviews of the Dynasty/SAmurai Warriors series comes to mind...while they keep saying it's the same old, same old with NOTHING new, Warriors Orochi was ALMOST a totally new game as amny of the cahrs have some new abilities and they were all split into 3 categories and so on...). As usual, this is just MY opinion.
