Be glad it was a tree. I remember last term when I was on my way to school, the police closed off this road that I always take to get to school, apparently what happened was a guy died, he got ran over by 3 cars.  One of my teachers actually saw the body (that was before the police came). I was an hour late to my class (and at the time, I could miss anymore time at school, I was glad it got excused because my school knew what happened).

Do whatever you can to get another vehicle Kev. You NEED a vehicle to survive in this world nowadays. Unless your in NY city or something... But especially because you need to provide for a family. Do whatever you have to, borrow money, sell some things, get a loan. Just don't lose your job because you can't get to it. Take anything you have in savings and spend it on a cheap butt beater. And then just start saving money again. Thats what you have to do every paycheck is save money. Save save save... because crap like this happens man... I'm sorry bro... yeah a buddy of mine is looking to see if i can get this pontiac for $500. It's an 88, but I don't know the model, he says it runs so thats all I need to get to work. My job understands, the admin at my job has her daughter pick me up for work but I don't want to depend on her too much, it's a long drive because she lives really close to work and i live 25 miles away.
