Wow, am I one of the last Eve users around here?

I use EVE on my other computer (shared with the rest of the household), modified to run with the Hi-res Select hack  :) . On this one (my personal comp) I'm using the "Unknown" screenpack with the 2000 char option. Oddly, I have more crashes on the other comp, even though it's faster and has a ton more memory.

Actually seems just some config changes and more translated to japanese. It's not an EXE hack at all.

Im using the regular win mugen with EVE with more than 1000 char and over 1000 stages and I not to long ago noticed when you are playing mugen turn off your internet connection and cpu programs and your mugen will run better and crash less.  Try it!  :)

I got enough chars for each day of the year so I think I just need to get more memory. This dosnt seem to help any of my crashing issues.

*maybe I should lessen my stages too? Is 605 too much? :D

That's right l mugen takes up a lot of memory when opening and loading i know this because i used ram XP toi measure how much MEM it eats up,
mine takes a whooping 80MB with firefox running.

Definitely the only thing is that you need a lot of memory on your comp.

WinMUGEN can eat over 500MB of RAM with 4 high-res characters like Guilty Gear X characters. InfinityCat can eat up even more with its 4 vs. 4 mode.

Newsflash, this does cause Winmugen to close unexpectantly and open the Microsoft Error Report box. This item needs to be updated or upgraded.
