Im not really up to date on the latest anime....Still digging through free boxes of old VHS from a closed rental store. Im trying to find new stuff to watch on the net or got get a box set of. Im not really fond of episodes but thats how most animes play out. Movies are a plus though

I dont like the Cute & Simple crap like Bleach, Ranma 1/2, Inuyasha, Sailor Moon, Slayers & Naruto.

With that said, any suggestions?

I forgot about Death Note. I just saw that the other day and liked it. Champloo is alright, not enough action for me. FLCL is just too weird and its kinda goes with the cute ones for me. Interesting story though.

Nadesico & Giant Robot I never heard of? The rest Ive already seen. Not fond of TriGun. It has that cutesy apeal to it too.

Well then Nadesico you might find cutsy, but Giant Robo, only mabie the first ep.
The director bascily took his favorate manga characters (all done by his favorate creator) and made a baddass 7 ep anime about them. Its deep, and cool. And theres good action. Its also one of the few animes that the director perfers the english voices over the japanese ones. And it shows, the english script is really good on it.
You can find it any place form $10(hong kong bootlegs) to $90 (special edition box sets with the extra special and a box thats shaped like something form the anime that after you seen it and then see this box set will make you drool and other features)
I have the $10 version. Ide suggest you go to the local place were you get anime and look it up. Its usualy arround the cheep side depending on were you go.

These are if you're into

of fighting in your anime.
grappler baki (My favorite, for pure fighting fans, just sad it ended after season 2 and it didnt really tie up the story in the anime... gotta lean on the manga for that and i dont read manga's)
hellsing (Not so much fighting but when it does get into the fighting it gets tight)
scryed (put it on the list cause it heats up at the end but the first part of the series drags aloooooooot)
ronin warriors (Kinda power rangerish but with samurai's and the tone and theme is a little darker)
fist of the north star (Pure gruesome. Not for the faint of heart, seams like if you like ninja scrolls you'll like this)

I just watched an episode of Gokusen

I like it because its so offbeat but it has the look & comedy style in anime i dont like. Very funny though...

Cant remember all the reason on Ranma but I watched at least 17 VHS tapes I watched, too many left over, and it was just really annoying. It really semed childieh even though its really not content wise.

those are old school. I used to try and tell my friends in grade school that cartoons that looked like that werent american but they wouldnt listen to me. They thought they went hand-in-hand with GI Joe & Captain Planet.

Crying Freeman a serie of 6 OVAS about a assasin(this series is from 1994 so dont expect good graphics like the animes of today,it has violence too)

Gantz is kinda good as well(altough it has some mature situations and TONS of blood...most of the characters end up dying,that`s all i`m saying)
I liked a lot Gundam Wing in fact...don`t know anything about the previous/latest ones
Slam Dunk was not that bad at all...i just watched the first season,and it was funny and exciting also...
I cannot recall another good thing now...maybe Devil May Cry,but it`s kinda short and can be watched online(check xerxes´sig)

Gantz is mature, but that's why it's awesome.
I liked DMC but c'mon, why only 12 episodes?

DMC doens't even have half as much episodes as SFV.

Oh well.

you have great taste(i love all the animes you recommended except haruhi and big o,cant like those two),but he talked about berserk which in my opinion is better than any anime you recommended in there(my opinion,also animugen,do you like Karas???,because its a unknown anime i dont see a lot of fans for it)

berserk is a show with a great story and fights(also Guts is really cool,may not sound like much but its a masterpiece,if you go anywhere youll see lots of anime reviewers saying that berserk may very well be the best anime ever,and if it isnt its one of the best),Karas is just amazing(i dont know how to explain it,just watch the series but i gotta warn you that the three first episodes are very confusing but great,the other episodes will explaing more of the story which is a good story,and besides the fights will leave you

ive nver seen berserk either but Karas is nie if your really into the new age cgi stuff. Ive yet to see revelation either.
