Crash because of sound?

More times mugen freezes, or dosnt, and then there is this constant blipping sound like the audio got stuck somewhere and forgot to terminate.
It reminds me of the music in the X-M.U.G.E.N. SP by AlphA (never did find a fix for that either). It usually happens for me at the character select screen but it has happened a few times when hitting ESC in the middle of a fight too.  Next thing I know my desktop is back up, I use Software instead of Windowed, and there is a Send Error box.

I haven't had a sound crash, but my mugen tends to skip parts of certain tracks. Bare in mind, I'm using Vista now, not by choice. Hm, maybe this post would be better off in Mugen Help.

Not asking for help just curious if anyone else here has run into this problem. I saw a guys vid on youtube and it happened to him too. Also Im not sure if the sound is the reason but it usually crashes right after. Sometimes the blips keep going and mugen plays fine.

Ya know, now that I stop to think about it, THAT happens to me sometimes. Like the stage will load, but the track is caught in a 1 sec loop, then Blam!, crash.

Im not sure because it wasnt a constant problem. It only happened ever so often, so its hard to tell.

MAJOR BUMP SORRY

How many chars do you have? I would have this problem too back when I had over 9000 chars. Now I limit my collection to only 50 and Mugen runs as smooth as a bald mans head....

now open properties in the shortcut.

go to target:
now add this at the end:

...\Winmugen.exe"-configplugins' specified in the Target Box is not valid. make sure the path and file name are correct

fix it with this:
\Winmugen.exe" -configplugins

You can see the space i added after the quotations.
