im not tryin to start crap but i wanted to know if i was one of the few that preferred SNES over Sega Genesis im not saying snes is better its just i thought over all i had more fun playin snes than sega both systems had good games i just  liked snes better for various reasons.....discuss

It's a hard decision to make for me cuz I loved both systems. In the beggining the snes kinda pissed me off with their censored mortal kombat. But I was in awe of their sf 2 series!! But then the genesis had sonic and I to this is still sitting on the fence over this debate. They were both cool systems in their own right.

yea and i could never get into the 3 button thing in sf2 for sega having to press start to go to kick mode i could never really mix up my combos in that game my 21 year old aunt still has her sega genesis she has sf2 champion edition, sonic 2, sonic 3d, and sonic pinball i try my luck on sf2 every now and then when i go to her house

When did SF start combining buttons life Soul Calibur? (example: HK+HP)

and the thing i absolutley hated about sf2 for sega is that when i had to take a piss i could not pause da game cause the start button was to go into kick mode so i had to get pwned while i took a piss

Believe it or not I actually mastered the 3 buttons on the genesis controller !! And a lot of my friends hate me to this day for whipping on them when they had the six button. You basically roll your hand across as you're doing two-in -one combos. I even pulled off ken's crossover roundhouse kick (or hp for you youngins) fierce punch into the fierce dragon punch as if I was playing with a six button. Then I was immediately told "You have no life" !! But you grow up broke, you make due. Heck I givin' these guys the business with the nights controller on every fighter I had!!

Me i loved my SNES.  There just wasnt allot of games on sega that i was intrested in at all.
I was too bussy playing Starfox, Super Mario World, Illusion of Gia, and lots of other games.

I used to have a Genesis... and I loved SNES a lot better!


However, Dragon Ball Z: Bu yuu Retsuden was a good game that SNES didn't have. Same as Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers (Fighting) and the Sonic Series.

Believe it or not I actually mastered the 3 buttons on the genesis controller !! And a lot of my friends hate me to this day for whipping on them when they had the six button. You basically roll your hand across as you're doing two-in -one combos. Then I was immediately told "You have no life" !! But you grow up broke, you make due. Heck I givin' these guys the business with the nights controller on every fighter I had!!

Lol u remind me of my dad he was da ABSOULETE master of sf2 when it first came out he had a reputation in da hood for it he was da master wit ken he was so good he actaully recorded himself beaten da game wit ken on da hardest diffuculty in like 1993 my grandma use to give me cookies and milk and put on da sf2 video my dad made
i still have it to this day da memories of sf2 and samurai shodown 2. i havnt watched da video in 10 years i should probably watch it again sometime  and he knew the infinite combo wit guile where he throw slow sonic boom walk froward and keep low punching u untill u get dizzy and he would do it over and over again every body got mad only two ppl were able to beat my dad one guy that was a master wit chun li and one guy who masterd dee jay in SS2 the new challengers.  my dad always tells me he was da master of sf2 in his day he challenged me in sfa3 for ps2 and u best belived i pwned him like u wouldnt belive

I personally think SNES & Genesis were both the best game systems ever made. I love both equally, they both had awesome exclusives that you couldn't play anywhere else and are more fun than anything made these days. I miss the rivalry between Nintendo and Sega and all the bada$$ games we got back then. Long live the SNES and Sega Genesis
