How do you choose your colors batz I really have to know. They make the sprite 1000000 times better than the ol wash up colors I choose.

Thanks, that really helps! Would they only look good on skin, or would it be okay to use them for clothing?

Very nice Batz. Are those characters from somewhere or did you just come up with them on the spot to help show off the palettes?

Since a handful of you guys have been asking for help with colors lately, here's a bunch of them in my own special pal style. The girl uses a 5 color palette and the guy uses 6 colors in his. Some of them could use better contrast but keep in mind I made all these pals within the past three hours or so.

This was a really good idea.   :thumbsup:

I'm going to be referencing that image's colors in the future.

Ahhhh yes yes YES! finally a Batz tut! lol. you put me on awhile back to shading things but this def gives me a lil more insight to your style colors. Hmmmm I have a Dancer Babe i made that i want to try this on. he he he he  >:D =P~

Just remember, the girl and guy don't share the same colors, they're usually completely different. Even if they look very similar.

@Panda: They're good anywhere. I just used characters that are colored the same all over to show off
a single set of colors.

@Hyper: Edits I put together. Girl is all new, the guy is an old edit of mine just smoothed out.

@Lando: Not really a tut, just a color chart of sorts. Hopefully it helps a good amount of people.

Just ran into this base a little while ago and saw some good possibilities in it.

Angela? That's one of the bases I used for Granny Goodness. Though the Angela sprites I used are from PI2 game. Does this version have more fluid movements? Or even the same moveset as in PI2?

@Twin: Yeah, not often you run into thicker wrestler type girls. Was gonna turn her in She-Hulk also but there was no real point. Would come out decent at best for her and Loganir is already making a killer version of her. These designs could probably use better heads, though.

@Hyper: Maybe it is from PI2 and I just got confused. Haha. Didn't know you were using this base for her, I thought it was actually a toned down guys upper body.

No trust me that sprite looks VERY different from the PI2 Angela sprites.

That Angela actually is exclusive from a PS2 console version.. and I agree is a great base for Thundra.

Earlier this year I used that same base for a Thundra edit on my blog...
torso it's edited from Angela but also did some mix with Mika legs, it's another good recipe for a wip if someone interested. ;)


Cool work on the girls Batz! Loving the high contrast colors you always do :)

@Loganir: Haha. It's funny, I took inspiration from your Thundra edit to include her as a possible WIP from this base never knowing you used her for your edit. You clearly reworked the base into MvC which makes it look worlds better than mine. I just like putting really WIP friendly designs out there. High contrast seems to be the way of the future when it comes to comic WIPs. Glad it caught on, was originally just doing it for myself.
