Crouching problem and a punching problem.

Yes I just started to work on a character and im getting the animations set up so he can move around in his enviroment but when it came to the crouching animations i had some troubles now i got the animations in it works but when i play him in mugen and when i have the character crouch he crouchs and keeps popping up for as long as i hold the down key did i forget to input something if so can i be told so i can fix it? Also when it came to his medium punch i ran into another issue but let me back it up when i coded and animated his light punch it worked fine and when i tested it out in mugen the punch connected and did damage so i went and did the medium punch the exact same way i did the light punch i tested it out and the punch did nothing no damage and it didnt connect with the target if anything the animation worked where did i go wrong?

1. You usually have to motions to code.
The crouching motion and the crouch itself.

So there should be a crouching animation and then an animation when your character is already crouching.


2.If your sprite makes contact in sprite # 3 then make sure the hitdef says the same.

example
type = HitDef
trigger1 = AnimElem = 3
!!Unite, Mobilize, Destroy!!

1. okay but how would i go about finding that and fixing it.
