Problem with Internet Explorer

I'm registered to FilePlanet and want to download a file. However, when I click the download button I get a "Internet Explorer blocked an unsafe ActiveX control" or something like that and the file won't download. I'm able to download it with Internet Explorer without add-ons right now, but out of curiosity I'd like to know.

Is there any way to fix this?

You could always lower your security settings...

usualy theres another button when that comes up to run that anyway. Unless your security is too high to even give you the option. Just go to tools, then internet options then security to lower it. I run on med high, and it asks me for stuff like that if i want to run it or not.

Anyways, problem solved. I'd use Firefox (in fact I know it, and everything you guys said is true), but I share the PC with my family and they just can't handle other program than IE. Maybe someday I'll get it.
