Quick question about something I've been working on for a hypothetical fan game thing. Over the years I've been working on a Janet Van Dyne fan game. It's all edits, but so far I have a full sheet for Jan and MODOK as a boss. I'm working on three assists based on Scarlet Witch, Monica Rambeau and She-Hulk. The one thing I need are some ideas for basic enemies. I need like a weak enemy, a strong enemy and a flying enemy. I was thinking maybe AIM related enemies, but I'm open to some ideas if anyone has any.

Help would really be appreciated.

Excellent idea man!! Well for Wasp maybe u can have Alake or Absorbing Man or Alekhema or Anti-man. Since Wanda is in maybe Magneto. Also Red She Hulk can be a good villain too! :)

Love to see samples from your project and wish u good luck to it!! :)

Cool ideas. Right now I'm just looking for stuff for a single level proof of concept. I might post the AIM guy I came up with as a basic on hit enemy when I get back from work.

Here's a quick AIM guy I made. He'd just be your basic one hit enemy with a laser pistol.

After I finish the assists, I think I work on him and maybe adding stuff to MODOK.

Not bad man! I think neck and his head might need some work but in general I like them. :)

Your sprites will be all custom?

Edits but yeah. I think the only one I've made from scratch was MODOK and he was originally based on a Wonderswan Potemkin edit. I'm gonna work on the other assist edits later. I finished Wanda yesterday.

Here's a sheet for all three assists.

Eventually I want to make something where Janet has 2 sort of self assists. One would be a swarm of wasps and the other would be her flying up, turning giant and jumping down on enemies.
Next I'm gonna be working on three basic enemies. I already have the AIM agent and I'm thinking of making an enemy based on if AIM had figured out how to replicate Atlas' powers en mass. I just need one more idea. For a flying enemy if someone can think of one.

Thanks, I might work more on Jen later.
Here is a first attempt at the Atlas enemy. I'm gonna edit it later, but I wanted to make a quick idea of what it would look like. The base sprite is the NES version of Crossbones from Captain America and the Avengers.

cool. you ever consider using the sprites from the 'Batman: Brave and the Bold' DS game? That has Batman, Green Lantern, Green Arrow, Aquaman, Red Tornado, Blue Beetle and Plastic-man as well as villains Joker, Grodd, Dr. Polaris, Clock King, Scarecrow, and Bane.

Just wondering/giving recommendations.  ;)

That or the 'Superman/Batman' mobile game... though some of it's sprites (Darkseid especially) are in pieces instead of full poses.

I considered using Bane from that game. I'm def considering using sprites from it for other characters. The only issue is scale. Basically I want to make sure none of the enemies are smaller than Jan, but not bigger than MODOK. For scale reference, here is MODOK. He's 90% from scratch and partly an edit of Potemkin from the Wonderswan Guilty Gear game.

As for a palette, right now I'm sticking to using colors I've used for Jan and some other edits I've done in the past relating to the project.

Might not be the best color choice, but I've already done so much work on Janet's sprite sheet that I might as well keep it all coordinated if that makes sense. I do love the BATB palette though. Wayforward does amazing work.

Thanks!

So Atlas ending up being a bit bigger than MODOK, but that's fine.

I'm thinking of adding one more enemy, but Idk who to use. I want to stick to Ant Man/Wasp, AIM or Avenger related villains if possible.

Finally finished Yellow Jacket. The idea would be that in the game AIM would mass produce Yellow Jacket suits that were less powerful, but faster than Jan. They would attack in groups to try and swarm her and she'd have to use her superior mobility and power to take them out.

Thanks! I plan to do Atlas next. Once I'm done the normal enemies, I might add some stuff for MODOK and maybe make some concept sprites for other boss characters.
