Here's how I would have liked to have made the Marvel 2099 mugen-based games, originally. I realized I couldn't do these with the small various-sprite-character-help we were getting at the time on crusadercast, then eventually the project forum (due to inactivity) and afterward the crusadercast site itself got taken down, for some reason.
Please LMK what you think, and if anything should be added or changed:
Game One:
Marvel 2099: Fall of the Hammer (first 2099 comic crossover)
Setup: Best 2 out of 3 matches-type
Plot:
Alchemax, in a plot to discredit the real 2099 heroes, create a false return of Thor and the Norse Gods from everyday people, along with a fake floating-tower "Valhalla" they are stationed at. It was believed by the anticorp populace that the arrival of the real 2099 heroes would lead to the return of Thor, with this false Thor claiming that the real heroes were false, and not precursors to them. Alchemax knew the real heroes would go to Valhalla 2099 to try to take the false gods out, knowing it was the work of Alchemax, and while they were on the floating tower, it would move over Uptown Nueva York, and then crash on the city, both killing and discrediting the heroes, that they killed their beloved "returning Aesir." In this game, the heroes must stop the fake Aesir and tower before it's too late!
Playable Characters:
Spider-Man 2099: (Stage: Downtown Nueva York)
Ravage 2099: (Stage: Paul-Phillip's ECO office)
Doom 2099: (original costume) (Stage: Room from Doom 2099 #14 with Avatarr and the generation-pods that had the 5 fake Aesir in them, and one with a failed "Sif" still inside)
Punisher 2099: (Stage: Front of Cecil McAdam's Thor Church)
Hulk 2099: (maybe, as he did exist at the time in the comics, but wasn't in the comic-crossover version of the story) (Stage: Unsure)
Bloodhawk: (X-Men 2099 member) (Stage: Unsure)
Krystalin: (X-Men 2099 member) (Stage: Unsure)
Meanstreak: (X-Men 2099 member) (Stage: Jordan Boone's apartment, as shown in X-Men 2099 #5)
Skullfire: (X-Men 2099 member) (Stage: City area with rides up to Valhalla 2099 availalbe, also as shown in X-Men 2099 #5)
Bosses (in this order):
Baldur 2099: (Stage: Unsure)
Heimdall 2099: (Stage: At end of rainbow bridge to entrance to Valhalla 2099)
Hela 2099: (Stage: On bottom floor of Valhalla 2099)
Loki 2099: (Stage: On middle floor of Valhalla 2099)
Thor 2099: (Stage: On top, outside area of Valhalla 2099, where Thor 2099 uses his hammer to destroy a high-up stabilizer device, with the whole fight showing that the tower is falling, with clouds rising in the background to explain this. Defeat Thor 2099 and the tower is stopped and the game is won.
Ending: Same for all playable characters: Avatarr saying that they may have won, but saying he'll still get them, or something like that (similar or exact to what he was shown saying at the end of Punisher 2099 #13 to S-Man, Ravage, Doom, and Punisher)
Game Two:
Marvel 2099 A.D.: One Nation Under Doom (second 2099 comic crossover)
Setup: Two playable characters that can be switched during fight, which is just one round
Plot:

He also makes Punisher 2099 into his "Jake Gallows: Minister of Punishment", with various others under his command being certain established "Ministers",as well. He even revives the old, present-day SHEILD group as his soldiers and police officers. However, the other 2099 heroes aren't totally on-board with "President Doom's" ideas, at least not fully, and go to take him on!

Game Three:

Setup: Three playable characters that can be switched during fight, which is just one round
Plot:
President Doom is violently kicked out of office by Herod, the evil megacorp head-guy stationed at the Chicago Reserve. He then "finds Steven Rogers/Captain America in ice", who he then makes into his puppet-replacement-president with his own nano-tech "Red House", and sets out to killing off all the heroes, with President Doom's SHIELD soldiers now under his command. Punisher, Galahad, Metalscream and Hulk are all killed off (President Doom took care of Ravage and Hela), and Herod has a 5-year plan to use up Earths' resources and move megacorp interests off-planet. Ending: With Herod's machine destroyed, he lays down, begging for mercy (also like Dr. Wily in the original Mega Man game-endings, as a homage), Each playable character would then have their own ending. Spider-Man 2099's: Miguel is the new CEO of Alchemax, and uses it's power to make the world into a utopia. Not sure about any of the others. Ideas?
Many to all of these characters have profiles and images on:
http://marvel.wikia.com &
http://m2099.wikia.comAll main 2099 characters exist within Earth-928.
Again, LMK what you think and everything, and what should be added or changed. Did I miss anyone who would be a good game character? Not sure if I got them all. Mainly going my memory from the comics.
