Which Ninja Turtles are the Best?
« on: March 09, 2016, 05:50:22 PM »
As I'm working on making Leonardo for Mugen I expect I'll be adding a variety of fun stuff to reference the different incarnations of the turtles, but I'd still like to know: For all the TMNT fans out there, which version is your favorite? Please pick two in the poll and let us know why in a reply below. I appreciate all of your help.

I kind of wish I could vote for more than two to be honest rofl.

I picked the 80s cartoon (because its the version I had the most exposure to growing up) and the current Nick cartoon (because it takes cues from all other Turtles media but still feels fresh and unique)

My honorary third pick would be the first two live action movies.

I picked live action movies. I would also go for the 80's toon but the movies, the first two had the best balance of them all.

hard choice but 80's cartoon, live movie number one (it's cinematography was done by the same team that did Michael Jackson's billie jean video) and of courge mirage all red

on another note

a  cool intro would be leo slicing off shredder/krang's head

I'm gonna be the oddball that picks the 2003 series first. That version of turtles really does not get enough credit for being a hell of a good show, especially considering the era it aired in (frigging 4Kids was ruining everything). Granted, it's not without it's faults (Thanks 4Kids for holding Season 5 for ransom and making them skip to that gawd awful "Fast Forward" season) but season 7 still managed to salvage that fiasco. And Turtles Forever, even though it didn't have the OG voice cast (Something the 2012 series is rectifying on March 27th), it's a great way to close that series.

My second, man..... I really Like New Line #1, but I really like 2012 too. But New Line #1 is still a good movie today and I think that in itself makes it take the 2nd slot.

I like both the 80s and the Nickelodeon cartoons since it brings back the characters we all know like the Kraang, and Bebop and Rocksteady.
Game on!

Kind of funny you mention the 2k3 series, because that show is a lot more faithful to the original comics. And it was pretty dark and grim, which is shocking considering it was made by 4Kids.

I voted for the 1987 cartoon as the easy pick in my top two but then I had a hard time with the second one. I liked the 4Kids version ten years ago and I absolutely love the new Nickelodeon version. The new Nickelodeon version is near perfection in my book. In the end I voted for the original comic because it's the source and the style is so cool.

I'm not much of a fan of the Next Mutation but my daughter prefers it since it's the only one with Venus.

As much i love the Ninja turtles series.
My fav goes to the 2003 incarnation. The 80's was fun, but it didn't see much episodes only on VHS. The movies from the 90's are fun (Except for the third one).  The new on Nick was pretty good and it's getting better that i thought would be.
