Anyways i can't wait to see what moves he has and stuff.

I can't either.
Since Oswald uses all playing cards and stuff I don't really know what to do with the sprites. I was thinking of editing them out to be plain punches, using sharp ?s, or using the staff. Once I have a winning style I'll make some sprites of the moves and let you guys vote on that too. The only thing I do know is that when he slices his hat with whatever, it will leave a ? streak like my avatar.

I used about a 3rd of Oswalds Sprites for Joker. The double handed strikes youll wanna send to the recycle bin. The single card shots can be replaced with cane jabs ect. I would probably find a character who fights more like how you want Riddler to, and look for similar Oswald ones to edit. Kyosuke is another good base to get ideas from.

Animated Series style all the way, I got to say all batman movies sucked but wow was that a dumb one

The first two were good, the last two were complete and utter crap though. Jim Carey is a horrible riddler.

I say you should defently have both,  and use one or the other as a seperate pallette...

Also that way you could relese 2 soundfiles, one with TAS voices and the other with Jim Carrey

Hollywood really messed up the movie.... and the next one too...

I say animated. The sprites for that look better IMO. Plus, you would have a lot more voice pieces to work with then the movie version.

Awesome point, and as the teams sampler guy I can say youre absolutely right. Theres half a dozen and more seasons of BTAS worth of Riddler Samples. Lot of OneLiners to choose from.

Animated Series is a must, but wether you choose to do the movie version is a different matter. Realize that if you choose one option, you can always change that decision and 'update' your character.

No, I couldn't do a palette that has a few question marks. That would have to be a sprite edit. Even if Forever won and I did a TAS palette you could still see the ?s in his clothes.

Not if you made the question marks the exaxt same color as the rest of his outfit, and you make sure they have shading in the same spots as the rest of his clothse

Animated all the way! TAS was easily the best portrayal of this character outside of the comics themselves. Both the look and the story for Riddler in TAS were dead-on.

Batman Forever? I've been trying hard to forget about that movie.... The Batman comics are easily my favorites, and what Joel Schumacher did in his movies was blasphemy, plain and simple.

Eh, Batman Forever could have been worse. Even being as unbelievably large a Batman fan as I am and a stickler for the comic version, I could find enjoyment out of Forever. There was no doubt it was mediocre, however. Actually, I took more issue with the portrayal of Two Face. Tommy Lee Jones is usually a great actor, but he didn't have a lot to work with when it came to the movie Two Face. Still, Jim Carrey as Riddler was... an interesting experience, to put it as nicely as I possibly can.

Batman & Robin, however, had no redeeming qualities. You want to talk about total garbage, that defined it. Almost ruined the chances of another Batman movie too.

Either way, I say go for the Animated series look. As cool as the Forever version looks, the simplicity of the AS costume always worked well for the character. It may not be flashy with a bunch of question marks all over, but there's no mistaking that it's the Riddler.

I hated Jim Carey as the Riddler . Someone else mentioned it , I always thought he would make a pretty crazy Joker . But to a point the definative Joker for me is Mark Hamil . He did the best joker voice . I loved it when that first episode of Birds Of Prey aired & the Joker knocked on the door . It was a different actor , but they had Mark Hamil do the voice over . That was about the highlight of the show , because it really wasn't that great .

I am a die hard fan of Batman TAS series , so I am obviously going with that . I love the lines you could use with the character from TAS series . One of his intros he could say one of the riddles . The animated version also resembles the " Hush " riddler to a point . I vote for MVC style moves if possible ! 

Hey Jay , do I have your permission to use your Riddler sprites & turn him into Tempest Fugate , The Clock King ?
