Okay i was hoping i could get some help on this cause like the topic description states, theres something im not understanding or not doing right or im missing a step i dont know, but im trying to make portraits and im tried of bugging others to make them for me so i was hoping someone can teach me. Anyways heres what im trying to do im trying to turn this pic of Cap that i cropped in to a portrait.
okay now what i do is i go to Image (i use photoshop) mode > and its already in RGB color, so i select Indexed Color and save it as a pcx. i then swap the portrait with the original and its not transparent when i bring it up in mugen also it looks very dirty and ugly, so i went looking for tutorials on how to fix that and i know the problem was in the color table, i saw an example.
I know that the current one that im showing still wont allow it to be transparent unless i swap the neon green with the white in the lower right hand corner okay so i pulled up this Cap's color table and it looks nothing like this (color table from a diffrent portrait)
instead it looks like this
now what im wondering is how i turn
this into this

and remove the back ground?
