but kairi plays the same as akuma with moves that are edited to be a little different. raging demon type move, huge blast (mvc anyone), air downward kick, air fireball, dragon punch wanna be move, and i mean the lists goes on. crimson viper over blair anyday. pullum basically is a fast chunli with a flash kick, cammy's cannon drill, ryus hurricane kick for a hyper, and dhalsims drill kick out of the air. so shes out the question. that leaves hokuto who is actually quite original and is a great character. where would she though?? a girl with fans that has an evil power thats seems oh so familiar to a certain person named akuma. there is no room for her in the real street fighter world. besides anything connected to kairi's copycat play style needs to be forgotten because it was such a trashy game with some of the most beautiful backgrounds aroun but some of the poorest graphics in character designs in any sf fighter game period. take a look at th ps2 street fighter ex3 zangief and see what i mean. that is poor for the back ground they fight in to look better than the characters. so basically sf4 with old and brand new characters = awesomeness while sf4 with old characters and a few ex series characters that were mentioned = bad memories and possibility of a very bad game

I heard somewhere in this thread that rival schools is not canon with street fighter. How is that true when sakura even has a win quote in sfA3 talking about the rival schools?

im not even sure bout that one. but shinra one win quote doesnt make another game canon. that could have been put in there just because thats where she came from. not saying it isnt canon but not saying it is

It not "being cannon" after even direct references doesnt really make any sense at all... I mean she's even wearing a school outfit and trying to get better for her face off with ryu. Her going to a school like that really does make sense in her journey to become better than her two rivals.

shoulda been but he wasnt in the original SF2 series but atleast with Guiles new alt. costume its almost like playing with charlie...without the funky hair dew

I think they should bring some of the rival schools char into it as a bonus.

From what I understand, it is canon due to Sakura's canon appearence in the RS series as an exchange student. Granted there aren't many chars in it that would fit but just imagine what an adult ( as in grown up, not sleazy..

)version of Akira or Daigo would be like!

I just think Akira is one of the best fighting game chars ever, she completely outshines a lot of the male protagonists in most games and doesn't pander to the stereotype of females in fighting games.
Plus Daigo is just a beast!
