Well, games typically run at 60 frames per second, I think, unless there's a strain on whatever is running the game.  But when it comes to just sprite animation, I'm pretty sure the number of frames per attack has increased with newer Street Fighter games.  That's what makes Street Fighter III look so fluid when compared to Street Fighter II.

well sf3 is slow as hell too i didnt like how u cant dash very far. wats so bad about the dust being around e honda its a upgrade in my opinion kinda like how they added fire to kens shoryuken when it was just a regular shoryuken in the beggining the dust on ehonda makes more sense then the fire on kens shoryuken im not flaming but all the ppl who talk about this game in a bad way only come here to say bad things im sure u have some positive views why dont u say them for a change.

Well, it's hard to parry if the game runs too fast... then again, I think the game placed too much emphasis on parrying and shouldn't have taken out air blocking.

I don't know what you mean by dust but what I was referring to was the swirl that shows up around E. Honda when he does his dashing headbutt.  I think it's just a lame attempt to make things look flashier, as if playing a Marvel Vs. game.

Positive things to say about the game?  Well, I like the facial expressions the characters make when they get hit.  As a matter of fact, I hope they go even further and have the characters throw up like they used to in Street Fighter II.  I have no clue why they took that out when the Alpha and SFIII games were released.

The throw up is a horrible idea, whos wants to see fighters gaging in the middle of a battle, besides that, it's unrealistic, who throws up while fighting!  :D

actually its very realistic if u get hit in ur gut hard enough u will throw up its happen to so many ppl including my self when my mom hit me in the stomach when i was a little kid.

lol after i got hit in the stomach i was sick for about 4 days my mom end up feelin really bad about it i couldnt even eat because my stomach was hurting so bad i remember her and all my other family praying for me while i lay in bed i heard it i end feelin really bad too.

anyways sf2 suks i dont see why its regarded as the best sf its too dam slow no dashing one combo can take u to half ur health and i really dont like the idea of one grab taking u all the way to a tiny bit of health like wat dhalsim did to me the other day when i was play super sf2 on da dreamcast and about the 2d thing of course if it had the same physics as ex it would be like ex but it dosent and thats the good part u cant really compare this game to ex just because they both had 3d graphics 2 totally different styles of gameplay and one has way better graphics besides ex was the first sf game to da next generation console im pretty sure capcom has learned from there mistakes with that one.

I think Capcom is trying to make the dust based off some sumo film or something. I dunno, but SF has never been realistic. It's always been cartoony and fun, and that's why I like it.

SF2 the most cartooniest character was Blanka, in SF3, I think the most cartooniest was Twelve. It's not meant to be uber realistic like Virtua Fighter. That's why I like the character models and graphics. Everything looks all cartoony like it's supposed to. The 3d character models in SFEX were ok, but they we're lacking. Akira really killed SFEX though with changing some of the moves (like the replacement for Ryu's whirlwind kick, it ended up like Dan and sean's attack), and Ken's hadoken was green. Akira really messed up big time when they were allowed to make a SF game, which is why I'm glad Capcom is making the new SF game. Also people are criticizing on how Ryu and Ken look in SF4, to me, they look just like the SF3 versions, only cell shaded, When you're given sprites to look at, it's kind of hard to imagine how the characters would look like all around the 360 degrees.

true everyones bitching about there knew looks this is da look of the next generation ps3 and 360 if u dont like it keep playin the old @$$ sfa games i dont know about u but im excited and im glad to move on to the next sf how could true sf fans dought sf this is capcom have they ever let u down on a sf game?
I agree 110%

If dan and fei are only for the consoles then that tells us that this is the entire roster!! yuck. that means probably they gonna be making multiple versions of this one game again. the only way itll reign supreme over anything else is for them to add everyone playable in the sf series.......but thats just my opinion. looks fun but it just needs more.. i do agree, it needs dashing or running cuz continuously jumping to get to ur mark is agravating and it opens you up

That's why I like SFA3. It has everyone from the Alpha games and the SF2 games. It would be nice for them to make a collection game where you can just play as everyone.

It would be a good idea for them to make like expansion packs as downloadable content for ps3 and 360.

Did anyone even look at the interview, this is what Capcom alway9s does, they make a hardcore fighting system that'll leave you wanting more, and just have a few characters, then they'll make 2 more copies of the game and thethird one will be cool with a bunch of new characters like SFIII third strike or SFA3!

(Wow, those are some nasty run-on sentences.)

Yes, it was usually the case in Street Fighter II that if your character was hit enough times in the midsection, he or she would throw up.  It was a part of Street Fighter.  Then the Alpha games came and they went and took it out forever...   :(

Street Fighter II doesn't suck.  It's just outdated.  Jabbing Blanka's roll attack and taking off a third of his energy?  C'mon...  It's Street Fighter II Turbo that was awesome.  If you put in the code and brought up the star level to 10, the game would be blazing fast.  You wouldn't need to dash.  Walking was as fast as dashing at that point.  Too bad Super and Super Turbo didn't move that fast though they were excellent as well.  Anyone who says otherwise are obviously too young and/or too spoiled to appreciate classics that are fun and simple.

actually i use to like sf2 when i was younger and for a lil while until i noticed da bad flaws i think ppl need to stop sugar cotting things and admit that sf2 is a peice of poop. Fatal Fury 2 was wayyyy better than sf2 will ever be. one combo more than half ur life, i dont care if its a classic or not it still suks.

Exactly.

That's like saying Super Mario Bros. for the NES sucked.  Or Castlevania for the NES sucked.

If you have a problem getting beaten by a single combo in that game, then maybe YOU suck (at playing).  I'm not saying Street Fighter II is the best fighting game.  I'm just saying it was a GOOD game.  Street Fighter II couldn't have jump-started the fighting game genre without being a good game.

Exactly! I mean SFII was the greatest game of its time... In my opinion (stating my opinion.. don't freak out...) SFII is still way better than Fatal Fury 2... sure Fatal Fury 2 was one of the first to introduce super moves... but the Street Fighter series went on to make a great sequel after SFII to pick up the slack. The Street Fighter series is definitely way better than the Fatal Fury series, in my opinion. (again.. my opinion.. don't get tweaky on me..)

SFII = best classic fighting game, it started it ALL! nearly 20 years later, it's still being played at big tournaments! Anyways... Check these out:

http://www.fightersgeneration.com/sfiv-characters.htm

Theres a part 2 with more vids, check it out too, I'm blown away, this game plays exactly how it should! Capcom has never let me down! Hardcore fan 'till the end!  ::salute::

Rufus looks like a beast! I'm starting to like him more, I never really disliked him, but yeah, they got the characters to look perfect! Blanka got more muscle, he looks cool, and they got everyone else right! I'm excited for this game and I'm glad it's not comin out 'till next year, or so I here, becouse now I can save up for a PS3 and they can work on it more!

From what I heard, he's very annoying in this game. He talks at the select screen, VS screen and during fights and just goes on and on and never shuts up. I'm hoping it will be fixed cause it's been complained about, but I doubt Capcom is gonna listen...they never do.
