lol sean haters. lol. nahhh like post said before , i am not  a sean hater. i actually like sean but yeah shoto characters are just runnin rampant ya know. spice it up a bit and have more diverse styles in the game. i would never take away seans cool factor just not this time man! lol. no shoto overkill, thats all i am sayin.  :thumbsup:

There is no such character named as Qin if I recall unless your referring to Q who appeared in Street Fighter III: Third Strike.

lol tell me you didn't just say that, The ninjas of Mk from 4 until vs Dc all have different looks and completely different styles of playing.

Shotos (street fighter 1 and still counting) are shaped the same, look the same except the face and share ALOT of attacks unlike mk ninjas. and even in the early mks, none of the ninjas had the same moves with the exception of human smoke and scorpion and ermac having scorpions teleport and reptile having sub zeros slide unlike the shotos of every street fighter that has over 90 percent of every other shot characters move set and still haven't changes as of yet to this day.

And again, Shotos are both over rated and whored the hell out and really becoming if not already an eyesore.

Personally, I would want to see R. Mika get in over Sean. Sure, she's a grappler (which SF4 has its fair share of), but at least she would bring a bit more variety than another shoto (I like those as much as the next guy, but you have to cross the line somewhere).

just last night  my younger brother came over and wanted to play me in street fighter 4. we played but uhhh more like i got fireballed to death!  I love Ken masters, he is the best to me of all the shotos anyway, lol. but cmon man! i come to fight not get 10 fireballs back to back straight in a row each time . soon as the match starts...fireball...oh look he keeps on throwin them... more and more. and the sad part is he is actually very good with ryu. even tho i beat him all the time anyway but still...overkill.   all shoto players do is hurl damn fireballs at you all day and try to back you in a corner to dragon punch you. thats all. lol  i mean where is the actual fight at?  so yeah i am against anymore shotos in street fighter 4 or ever...period.  this game needs more femme fatale in it anyway.  like i said before, DIVERSE characters is the word capcom. keep that in mind. oh and yeah , i hate all these end bosses having copycat movesets! i want an original hard boss that is ...ORIGINAL! take seth out, he blows! lol

ALL this stuff about the shotos is downright laughable. Allow me to clear up this nonsense.  There are 4 shotos in SF4 and they ALL do have different playstyles. So what if Ken, Ryu, Akuma, and Gouken have a FEW (not this 90% bogus stuff) moves that LOOK the same. ALL of them have different properties. The only moves shoto share are the fireball (different properties), Tatsumaki (different properties), and everyone but Gouken has a DP (different properties as well). Everything thing else is different. I would so break down each 4 of the shotos movelist and properties but hey you all own the game right so there is no need. Shotos have plenty of variety and you cant use each shoto the same way because of the different propeties. That along with their other normals and special normals is what se these shotos miles apart.

Are you serious? Lol that is not all shotos do. Throwing fireballs at you is pressure. It forces you to jump to avoid it and gets DPed or as a super or Ultra setup. Besides in SF4 there are a billion ways to get past this. You have to understand their weaknesses as well as their strength. If he is throwing fireballs why would you back yourself into the corner. I think ppl just dont like to work for the victories is all. I challenger anyone to try and fireball me to death and see what happens. It is apart of the game. A fireballs general purpose is get the opponent on the move so that they cant turtle too much and its used as an approach move as well. if you fall for the old old school trap of fireball to get DPed all the time then you need to try to use your noggin to find other ways around that. I also disagree with the seth part. Seth's moves maybe a copycat of the characters he stole from but he is original and he does have his very own set of unique moves. And from the moves he stole they all have different properties except 2 if i remember correctly.

And its ansatsuken not shotokan.

Plus Sean doesn't shoot fireballs other than his super and his dragon punch is to Ryu as Shingo is to Kyo which means its not an actual dragon punch.  Anyway I don't think Sean should be in this as well even though I am a big Sean fan, but he wouldn't serve no purpose in this game.  Just need a sequel to SF3 so that I can have my Sean, Elena, Twelve, Oro, Urien, Alex, and Hugo back.

On the spamming subject, Gaijin pretty much summed it up.  I never play a good Ryu/Ken player that spams fireballs.  The Ryu/Kens in that I faced combo hard and are not so predictable.

loco?..playing a game where every character does the same thing is repetitive.. SF has THREE different fighting styles AT THE MOST. ive played this game since number 2...its just old now..how many years are you going to see the same characters doing the same moves, and not say its repetitive.


not too mention, this whole SUPER street fighter four, thing is a scam. theres re-releasing a game with "tweaks" and a few new characters and calling it a new game, thats a rip off.

capcom needs to re-invent SF. not re-release it with a few new characters and updated graphics/gameplay

they need to focus on creating MVC3..people have been calling for it, for more than ten years..and a year later, there re-releasing SF4.

@mastamasta look at it like this darth vader costs 5 dollars for one char multiply that times ten u get 50 dollars add in bonus stages, the fundamental changes there doing to the gameplay, existing chars getting more moves, fixing the netcode, changing the announcers voice, adding more stages, getting rid of that retarted indestructable song, making better cutscenes, team battle, and everything else that has yet to be announced or that i forgot and i will gladly give capcom $60 of my hard earned dollars. but oh yeah i forgot its only gonna be $40. you sir can call it a scam if you want i on the other hand will call that a steal.

I wasn't much of a fan of SF4, but I'm still picking this up since I buy every Capcom game that comes out...good or bad.  $40 isn't that bad, I'll have to pay 5900 yen for my copy which is close to $60.

originally it was meant to be a dlc but not any more, and that because it became an easy money maker for capcom, even seth killian said that ssf4 is a very easy game for him to sell.

the only SF games that were diverse, was the alpha series..and still that isnt even completely true. this game takes NO SKILL to play anymore. not too mention for the fact ive been playing it for so long, the combos are just getting old.. there are no new innovations to this..

KEN, RYU, GOUKEN, AKUMA SEAN, DAN, SAKURA , SAGAT = same moves..literally

CHUNI-LI, BISION also share those characteristics but they arent 100 percent rips of those characters..i would say 60 percent...and thats being generous

i mean for god sakes, when ZANGEIF is the most diverse character in the game, you know things are bad.
