Psykai playing with Red Hulk updated version.
Now he has a shirt, like in Agents of Smash cartoon and has the gun all the time, which he uses in some attacks.
His Hyper Move now has a shorter range, but with a wider area of attack



Also showing some updates in Hydra levels 4 (Black Mamba) and 5 (Militant).

I am currently dealing with some engine issues - as I made most enemies restricted to the screen, some entities get stuck off the screen, or on the edge of it.
And this is a bigger problem now, since players no longer recover MP automatically, just with items or when hitting an enemy - so enemies can get stuck off the screen and, as you don't have MP, there's nothing to do not to exit and restart.


Development is slow because I am trying to solve these problems and I am focused on other projects.

A lot of people ask me the update release date and my answer is: I don't know. I want to update this year yet, but I cannot give a specific date.

Any help from devs? What I can think that may happening is "box" working both ways, to not let enemy move out and not letting them in. So how should it work - it should restrict enemy going outside of "box" by themselves, but if thrown out they should come back freely. In some games it's made that enemy outside the box forcefully moving into it in sped up way... I don't think it is that hard to make from engine side, but probably a nightmare to find some way override default behavior from gamedev side...

And here is a full stage gameplay with Iceman, played and recorded by my friend and a damn good player Psykai



Passive Iceman skills:
- Full immunity to freezing attacks (cannot be frozen, does not take damage)
- Absolute Zero - recharges part of the power when hit by freezing attacks
- Ice Pick - High resistance (75%) to cutting attacks
- Ice armor - 25% increased resistance to all types of attacks, except flaming.
- Knockdown resistance - Resistant to the first attack that knocks a character down (some attacks still drop him on the first hit)
- Pyrophobia - 45% more damage when receiving fire attacks.

⚠️ ⚠️ Also, showing a very important change on the game: ⚠️⚠️
Now your power meter does not recover on its own over time, which directly affects the difficulty of the game.

Ways to recover your power:
- When hitting an enemy with any normal hit * - all
- When hit by enemies * - all
- Power items (blue or yellow crystal) - all
- When hit by certain types of attacks (only a few, such as Iron Man against electrical attacks)
- When using the CHARGE command (hold jump + special, just a few)
* the amount of power recharged varies from character to character.

I've noticed that his Avenger Power doesn't depletes power bar. You've probably already fixed that, though. Looks awesome either way, definitely was worth making him :thumbsup:

Preview of the new Vision mode - White Vision - to hitch a ride on the series hype :) Gameplay recorded by Psykai again.

This mode has a new special - Down Up + attack - that passes through enemies to hit them in the back. During the half of the movement (when it becomes transparent), it is intangible - it cannot be hit but it also cannot hit anything, becoming tangible in the second half of the movement.

Vision also gained a unique passive ability: it is the only character in the game that recharges power over time, as the game used to be.

I took the opportunity to balance some other things.

I've asked on my social media about a possible new playable character, for a future update: Kitty Pryde/Shadow Cat, with Lockheed.
because she is one of the favorite characters from Psykai and I wanted to include her to the game as a way of thanking Psykai for all this project. He doesn't like to show up very much, but he has a very important role.

I've talked with ESN23 and he gave me a full sheet of her, so why not?


And people loved the idea! - I was never aware that she is a fan favorite :)

Kitty is giving me some hard decisions - like her 6th suit:
A) X-Men Evolution (need to change boot trim and shoulder)
B) Classic costume with mask (very close to first one)

Which one is your favorite?
Tip: I have a rule - the more different a costume can be from another one, the better.
So keep this in mind when voting :)

I've been hell busy so I could not work on the game too much, but let me share some news about the game:

• Looks like we got rid of the "load bug", finally :)

New helper by Jhfer: Hyperion (AKA Marvel's Superman).

Some people already asked him as a playable character, but he would be kinda repetitive and very unbalanced - although some friends gave me ideas how to balance him.
I have some plans for him as a boss, though, on the King Hyperion version https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Mark_Milton_(Earth-4023)
(If you know him, you will understand why he can't be a playable character. Its the same reason why Apocalipse, Thanos, Mephisto and others won't be playable characters on the game).

One of the ideas to balance him is to make him have just ONE life per credit, making him vanishing to his universe after he dies.
Because the guy is a Hulk, with super velocity that flies and shoots lasers :)

Let me share some news. Two new features for the game:
• Endurance mode, where you face waves of the same type of enemy (but one of them, called Prime, always has 3x the initial health value and a different attack), you only have one life and without continuing to pass and, in the end, you are going to face bosses that i haven’t managed yet / i can’t put in other modes.

• Rushdown - characters who fight only unarmed, without long-range attacks (although Black Widow does) and who are experts in martial arts have a new dynamic: once you hit a runattack, you can press the A button twice to do a combo in the air. It doesn't do much damage, but it is very useful to get out of complicated situations and this has greatly improved the gameplay of characters like Black Cat - (Iron Fist and Black Widow also have this).

This amazing gameplay was recorded by Psykai. Thanks buddy!

I might be jumping the gun, but this is the collest gameplay video so far. Very arcade-ish with lots of collateral damage. Got some mixed nostalgic feelings of Punisher (with gun) and Outfoxies/Konami beat them ups.

The parachutes are just a kick to the teeth, corny and very accurate to 80s animation/comics before the "Age of Edginess" of the 90s.

I proposed a challenge to Psykai: ending Boss Rush mode with Quicksilver.
And as the best Quicksilver player I've ever seen, of course it was possible. A long video, but packed with incredible combos!
