Yeah the time bomb is a good idea. However I agree that hawkeye is lacking an evasive shot, just like you mentioned. Maybe it´s to much, but both tese ideas are worth checking out

That is the question: An evasive move is great, but this is exactly how he throws the hyper arrow (and players are totally invincible during the hyper moves). I don't want to duplicate the same motion for two moves.

I could change and make him jump forward during the hyper move, but this would make him too close to Zvitor's version and I want to make things as unique as I can.

You could try having him just jump up (neither forward nor backwards) and maybe shooting the arrow down into the ground, for the hyper and leaving the backwards leap for an evasive move?
Or perhaps, he shoots the explosive/cluster arrow up (without jumping) thus damaging everyobody on screen, as he doesn´t really need to jump for the hyper move.

Yeah, maybe he can jump high in place for the hyper move. Also, for the special arrow, he won't jump as much he actually jumps for the hyper move

Jhfer edited some new frames for Madam Maque, over Kimono's excellent edits of Double Dragon Marian
 
This helps to give her more attacks, althought she was not made to be a difficult boss.

- New unrevealed boss: Black Mamba
- Hydra stages 3 and 4 now has random bosses - Stage 3 will have Black Mamba or ????, while Stage 4 will have either Bowman or Hammer

More online co-op gameplay with Lonchi, now with a full Boss Mode Playthrough and comentaries (Portuguese only, sorry)!


What is new:
- New Bosses: Anaconda, Black Knight (mind controlled), Enchantress
- New NPC: Yellow Jacket and White Tiger
- New music and effects for the stage

The next version will be released in December 2019.

I dont know if it´s the input, the sequence itself to do the hyper move but in some occasions I couldn´t do it at all, another times when I managed to pull it off I failed to hit the correct side of the screen. Is it just me, or do you guys have an opinion on that?
(Most of the times I ´ve checked the mp bar to confirm if it was full!)

The input is the same for all characters, so there is no difficult change based in input - excluding Wolverine, which needs to use the command while grabbing. For sure, there are different moves which have different ways to hit the enemies - some are easier, some are harder.

A little question about Black Knight


In modes where you can control Black Knight (Boss mode and Complete Mode) while you can fight against it, what would be the best option:

1 - After the defeat, the Black Knight would prove to be a Skrull
2- Before the battle, another enemy appears (probably a sub-boss)

Well, if it doesn´t affect the story, it´s a matter of opinion. I say the 1ºs one seems a little bit more "story driven" than just having a sub boss.

I've found some time to polish somethings I always wanted to change:

Soldier/Gunner high pain animation remade (old/new) - ignore the strange colors, its the smartpalette.


Soldier/Gunner low pain animation remade (old/new)


Soldier/Gunner extra fall frame (and now Gunner has...the gun on his hand)


Gunner now has the gun on different color


Soldier/Gunner has a new dead animation. They will use both die animations, randomly.

Quick video to show a concept I've been working on: a virtual scenario. At first, transitions were made with new images, which greatly increased the weight of the scenery (and the game).

But now it's using OpenBOR's amazing raster effects, so all transitions are done via code :)
Probably the order of the phases will be random in the final product.

I took the opportunity to show Hercules' new chain throw - which is executed with a command after the previous throw.

I've started to implement FAINT animation to all players, which plays when the player has low HP. To give more emphasis to the effect, the character will blink in red in alternate frames.


Here are some examples (ignore the strange colors, its the smartpal in action) I did manually in Photoshop:

Showing Nightcrawler's new "Swashbuckler" mode.


What changes in this mode?
- Combo finishers are now made with the sword (and sharp attacks deal more damage to certain enemies)

- Different back throw deals more damage

- Two new specials
• D, F + A Dash Slash (can be chained with D, F + A again for a second slash or with D, U + A for an aerial attack or even a third slash)
• D,U+A Teleport Slash

- Specials spend more MP than the normal mode

- New hyper - En Store. Faster than normal hyper but with shorter range

And we can also see the new helper - Moondragon.
