Thanks to everyone who voted at Nightcrawler poll (a lot of people, specially at FB). We decided (in fact, people had voted for) to use the version B, from the arcade game.

I've made (with help of GODzilla) a run animation for him, since the arcade version lacks one

(I will still polish it)

And he is also helping me with the sword sprites, so Nightcrawler will carry a sword at his back and in Swashbuckler mode he will use his sword (cutlass) in some moves.


oh, btw, Nightcrawler will have a very unique feature - he will be invisible to enemies while in dark stages. So enemies won't try to hurt him unless he executes an offensive move,

Jhfer is working on Nightcrawler smart palette, so we can have many different costumes for him. And he also made an AWESOME work with the smartpal for a future playable character, which I can't reveal right now. HINT: He/she is an X-MEN :)

damn that's awesome news O...love absolutely everything you just said...you picked a cool choice in sprites...the run looks very awesome and then you go swashbuckler mode...damn :o


also regarding the invisibility it should stand out to the player also maybe an aura or something or a icon above his head showing he is invisible because shadow could mean a few different things and so it would be nice to indicate to the player he is all the way in or completely under cover

Thats perfect news O Ilu! Its great that each char powers can interact with stages! :)

Thanks, I am really liking the result.

I am working in Mugen and OpenBOR simultaneously, but OpenBOR only in my free time. Playing a bit more in Black Widow and I decided to gave her some more attack options.

She will be able to change her freespecial, kinda like Hawkeye does with his arrows.

I know I'm a suspect to talk, but I'm really enjoying the result. It's not a character I like very much, but it's becoming one of the best characters to play.

There are 2 of the 6 weapons she has left. Maybe I'll finish this tomorrow.

I am trying to make a great game, as polished as I can. I would love to be as fast as other coders, but my goal is to great a better game (with no offense to the others), something to be a reference for OpenBOR. This is why (plus some other things at my RL) this project is 4 years old already - I am a 40 years old man struggling to continue with this hobby.

I had some help of some friends, so somethings will be a little faster now.
Here are some new info:

----------------------------------- Deadpool -----------------------------------

- POWER SETS> For characters which can change one of their special moves by inputing DOWN DOWN ATTACK (or UP UP ATTACK), like Hawkeye and Black Widow
- ALT. MOVES > For characters which has a different attack based on his palette/costume, but not a whole new mode, like Thor, Wolverine and Iron Man.



Brand is a special case - she is the only character which has both EXTRA MODE and POWER SETS.

Her development process is going great, thanks for some help I had.


I still need to take care about a lot of things before finish her, since I like to polish and check a character before I release it.

This looks fantastic, really! And by the way this project is going, I'm pretty sure it will be like a shining and precious star for OpenBOR. Well, even though I am so excited to play as Black Widow and everything else, maybe you should leave it for the next release, perhaps? I mean, like that, you'd have more options and time to think if you want to change something. No rush, man! Take your time, and it will be worth the wait (Even though it already is, since it's one of the best BOR games I've ever played)   :thumbsup:

Wow...sorry to hear that. R.I.P. indeed. Btw is that Red robot a new boss or enemy or just a random sprite for the credit scene?
