It would be too hard. As state on Wikia, Militant (Captain America's clone) was able to fight with Captain America and held his own.
My plan is to make each member of Hydra Four appear in each stage.

I've spent the weekend coding this, reworking Hydra second stage and coding Trapster the way I wanted to.
Basically, Trapster uses his polymer adhesive as main attack. But uses it in very different ways:

- Can shoot directly towards the player. Once it connects, player will be held in place for about 3 seconds, tinted with the glue color and with glue over his body.
If player receives an attack, the glue explods and releases the player.


- Can shoot a rain of glue (kinda like War Machine's War Destroyer), which falls randomly on the screen and remain in place for a while. If the player steps on it, the normal behaviour takes action (hold player in place). Works like a trap.

- Can shoot a solid ball of polymer, which doesn't hold the enemy but does more damage (the normal glue does damage too), works like a projectile.

- Can create a hand shaped stream of polymer, which attacks the player and retracts (like TMNT Baxter attack)


- And can leave a trap polymer on the ground. This trap will randomly changes to a Poisonous Polymer (poisons the player), a Corrosive Polymer (burns on touch) or a Freezing Polymer (self-explanatory).

In case u seek more ideas:

He can also walk on the walls with his boots and gloves that have the glue!!

Also he can use other devices such as anti-gravity discs, explosive caps, ultrasound transmitters, an anti-gravity platform, and various mechanical traps used to restrain or entangle opponents.

I had this idea, dunno if I will include it because he already has many moves and its kinda hard to beat.

Trapster attacks you before even you reach the final of the stage. I've made a system where a shoutbox appear then he attacks



And once you fight him, he will never alone - he calls for helper whenever he is the only enemy on the screen.

Thanks. Some characters will have different intros.

Let me share something I got the idea accidentally: Animated stage progress indicator.
There are some light animations on this stage, including the stripes on the floor. They are yellow at the stage start...


...get orange when you are in the middle of the stage...


...and get red (and faster) when you are near of the end


Cool, no? :)

Hmm, are all the stages going to have such light stripes?
Actually I found them to be a bit distracting and in terms of image, well, a bit noisy. I can see as a progress meter thing can be appealing but personally I prefer not to know when the stage is in the final part, it detracts a bit of the surprise or the discovery factor.
Just a sugestion, maybe you could activate them, if you really wanted to know how far you have reached in a stage instead of being always on.

Some more news:

Changed the custom item (now its Captain's head and maybe it wil change beased on which option you choose):


Changed the time of the stage and added the door. The door is closed until you beat all enemies.


once all enemies are dead, the door opens and reveals the boss:


PS: I am playing the game in debug mode, where you can kill any entity on the screen.

Working on Tactical Force, and I am almost done with him. As you can see, you won't be able to call for helpers on this stage.
I am trying to give some uniqueness for each boss battle and this one will have a special feature :)

The battle begins with the truck covered, to disguise the heroes. But soon the enemies realize the trick ...








And I think now you guys can spot the cameo :)

The gas masks are a little big and too high for any Hydra soldier - hypothetically - to be able to reach them. I was looking for a smaller mask base, and I bumped into a character I don't think you guys have used so far.
