Should we remove Bullseye too, as he won't make sense too, sir?
If you like, you can. If not, you don't need to remove him. To me, I think he might be a good addition to the project. Follow your taste for the gaming. Otherwise, we will see if Nestor accepts Bullseye in the project or not. You and Doom worked together on Bullseye so it's up to you to decide.

Yeah, we haven't seen if Nestor supports the idea of nixing Doom 2099 or not

So I say you should put in REGULAR Doctor Doom, who is ALREADY DONE for Mugen, along with Doom 2099 who people would LOVE to see, and you take out 2099?

How does that make sense. All I did was say put in both, but make 2099 an unlockable. Jeez, people are SO uptight in some Mugen projects..

The point of a fan project (which this is) is not only respecting the original content, but putting your own twists to it.

Replacing standard Doom with Doom 2099 was going to be one of those twists. But you were so anal about this so he decided to not do it

I'm just giving my opinion.

All I said was have them both. One is already done, so what is there to be so aggravated about?
Replacing regular Doom with 2099 Doom just doesn't seem right. That's all I said.

Jeez.

Sorry sir, but you now are trying to chill out the things after said that stupid words.

This doesn't sound as "hey guys, just use both":

When you think of MvC games after MvC2 and 3, what certain characters do you think of?
I think of Ryu, Wolverine, Iron Man, Morrigan, Hulk, Megaman (Lol), Doctor Doom, Chun-Li, Captain America, Akuma, etc. Those are characters that only make sense to be in MvC games.

If you just put in Doctor Doom 2099 with no regular Doctor Doom, it's going to look super dumb.

but I don't care.

Okay? All you had to do was say "I don't like the idea" rather than throw some kind of internet fit.

Anyway, on a somewhat unrelated note.

Will there be things from CFAS used in this? I.e. intro dialogues between characters.
And will this follow a plot, or is it basic MUGEN fighting?

All this useless discussion about just one character? Why don't you simply add one of them and give him 2 different palette-fighting style? Add Dr. Doom in the first 6 palettes and when the player holds start and select him he has Dr. Doom 2099 with different gameplay and 2099 palettes, that may be harder but it would satisfy the ones that want both.

 :O*D

wow seems some people dont know Mugen is "Make whatever you want to" kinda hobby.  lol . Good for suggestions but there should be no demands.  Its up to Nestor and crew working on it what and who they want to be solid in the roster.
If this is a reimagining of the company version using same specific characters then cool, but this is Mugen edition and if they want to add twists to the roster but keeping in play some nostalgic ones thats even better cause they get to make new characters to mugen not done before and use some new ones that are fresh to mugen but with some added content to them . All cool with me either way it goes. I rally tho for the twists and addition of new people to the games franchise. gives the company which maybe watching after all something to try out next time.

good luck with the project.. looking forawrd to the creativity as always guys. ::salute::

Alright guys, so here're my two cents: we're going to use Doom 2099 this time (it's up to Ilu if he still wants to do him for the project), Bullseye is in and I'll convert him for the project. In short we're aiming for a mix in the game.

Let's make this a new spin for the series, we'll try to bring a great game even if not every character from both worlds is here :) in the end, I personally hope everyone will like (at least) one character from the roster to play as

Great decision, Nestor! ;D I'm going for Doom 2099 even though he hasn't appeared in Mugen that much.

Not sure how much spriting is complete for Doom 2099, but feel free to use my color-separated Doom sprites to help speed up the process:

All the sprites are already done, sorry. Unless you wanna color separate it.

All this useless discussion about just one character?
Because some kids likes to demand things on their own, like if we are obligated to do anything as they want.
And, in most of cases, is someone who won't help AT ALL, but still thinks we are obligated to do anything...

Quote
Add Dr. Doom in the first 6 palettes and when the player holds start and select him he has Dr. Doom 2099 with different gameplay and 2099 palettes

hum, its not something I want to do, at least for now. I can change my mind further, who knows.
Doom2099 plays totally different from the normal one.

This! This is way smarter than "Those are characters that only make sense to be in MvC games. "

Nestor, I will talk with you later about this. I just started Doom2099 on the CFAS template, but this stupid discussion had lowered my motivation, so I will be working on other chars first.

See ya

Well, there is Fliptop which I was working for CFAS, but I need someone to help me with edits for him.
If they want to add him as a hidden char, be my guest :)

The other chars are not related to this project.

Understood Ilu, anything please let me know. Time to go back to the main topic, and with this said, I'll be updating the first post soon, with the list of the confirmed characters so far for the different phases (including X, Cap. America, and others).

Nestor, I was thiking about this and...its not fair to remove a cool char, which was never made to mugen, just because some MAHVEL fanboy. Its not fair with you, with all people and with me, who is very excited to make this char.

So, Doom2099 is in. We will decide about a normal Doom palette (which doesn't works good, because the sprites are different) or a the normal Doom being unlockable (makes more sense to me to have the normal one as unlockable)

Also, do you want FlipTop/Eddie as a bonus char on this too? I will be back to it for CFAS and since they share the same template, we can use it too. The ideas are the same for CFAS version

Sorry for any trouble.
