Used Vita

bought a used vita off ebay that came with a 4gig memorycard but i cant use it since his account isnt deactivated. ive asked him to help me out but he wont give me his log in info or deactivate it from his pc. he insists that if i contact sony they will deactivate it for me but im wondering how if i dont have any idea what the psn account info linked to the system is. so my question is is this vita useless to me or will i be fine if i just purchase a new memorycard?

Try calling Sony like he said, you should be able to see the email address, right? Or they might have a unique code for the PSV, I don't really know how that works.

Other than that, there should be some way of formatting the memory all together, I imagine.

got it to work by restoring and formatting in safe mode. cool that this thing troubleshoots like a pc 
advice to anyone getting it used online makes sure they deactivate their accounts first itll save you a headache.
