Marvel NOW!
« on: September 04, 2012, 04:17:53 PM »

Marvel is looking to chake up the Universe, not with a DC like reboot but with what may almost be aq natural progression. Uncanny Avengers will launch off the deal with the marvel universe moving who ever they want to which ever team they want. We're also going to see the Invisble Woman joining the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy front and center, Cyclop's new costume and the orginal X-Men form the 1960s teleported to our time, dealing with what their future selves have become. Marvel NOW!

I hope the relaunch works. Marvel titles have been tanking which gave credibility to DCs awful New 52. While overall sales are below 2010 for the big two the difference is that DC dominates the top ten comics now and only AVX is selling inthe top ten. When Spiderman, and X Men dominated so long its a travesty that those books sales are below top ten numbers.

I hope this is the kick in the butt Marvel needs to get back in the game and reclaim the top spots from a DC that's putting more effort into their crappy new universe than they gave the old one in twenty years

i think it´s better another universe than a whole reboot... just like the mainstream and the ultimate universe (i know there are a lot more). i think this is kind of bad copy of the new dc...

It's not a reboot, it's not a new Universe, this is just main Marvel continuity moving forward and makeing large scare decisions. (Unless I've been misinformed.)

He has his hammer in the pic, though. Guess it just doesn't make sense to me.

Samuel Jackson Nick Furry has become so popular and reconizable that Marvel did a little trick to get him moved from the Ultimate universe to the mainstream universe by giving Nick a son that no one knew about who looks just like the Ultimate version. Nick is so old that it's a pretty easy concept to sell.

How did Nick Fury make a child that black?

Although not always, often children will take on more of the skin color of the mother, if not just simply a perfect match, even in couples of mixed races. The real answer to your question though is because Marvel wanted him to.
