So i seen Amazing Spiderman Last night
« on: July 03, 2012, 02:23:00 PM »
I dissed it with the help Save Spiderman topic like a couple of months ago and visiting back, man was i wrong. They did a good job with this movie. I am loving Marvels way of doing the fusion of the Ultimate and Main stream comics (Just like how they did the Avengers) This Reboot was way better then 1 and 3 and up to par on spiderman 2. Anyone else seen it yet?

Don't get it twisted, if Marvel had movie rights back from Sony, it would have been done right the first time. Do even think of comparing this to the Avengers Movie universe.

In fact, I view is pretty much summed up like this:

It was pretty meh, the lack of accuracy to the comics (amazing and ultimate) kinda ruined it for me. They could have had a mediocre movie thats accurate (for the most part) to the comics rather than one that's just mediocre.

It was trying to have its own continuity. It's not trying to base it on any particular continuity (although they are similarities)

It's like hating Brave and the Bold cause it's not like Batman TAS

No its not, in batman brave and the bold nothing essentail about batman was changed, nothing about his villans were changed, it still had many similarites to the comics.

I meant in the sense that it's not trying to be like what most people recognize the char as

...

or something

Then why did Spider-man act like how everyone would expect him to act. It was the plot.

Because it was my thread I started and I'm done, so I dumped it.

Actually, G-Lux saw fit to give his distaste for the movie and the worst side of the internet decided to rear it's ugly face. When that happens it's natural and normal to clean ou the thread.

Personally for exactly the reasons stated in the video posted by G-Lux I don't want to go see it. Instead I'm going to use my money to buy Marvel comic books.

Isn't that how discussions on a message board work? Someone says something, some users agree with it, and other users provide a counter response if they disagree. From what I saw, there were a few comments made with malice in mind, but overall, the topic was pretty interesting. To remove 45+ posts from it seems really selfish on G-Lux's part. Especially under the reasoning of 'it was my thread I started and I'm done'.

I don't think anyone has a problem with him being done with the thread. However, I do believe it was wrong of him to remove it when it had so much content and potential to bring in more interesting posts, such as the ones that were already there, for a inferior thread with very little content.

Agreed, once  people replied to that topic its no longer his topic alone. I was one of few who agreed with Lux about the film. Tho Many conveyed their positive feelings on the film i still respect their opinions tho i disagree with them. I was in fact really enjoying the conversation.

Its two things that was weird. One in the past this was an issue (removing thread) but lets move on. TWO if there was such dis-taste over peoples opinions then why post the same thing in a similar thread G Lux? Its always the same people replying so the out come would be the same. This is all asinine.

I got $12 worth of free tickets from boxes of kellogs stuff.
So i saw it for free.
Yeah it was totaly hollywood formula, but I didnt hate it.

Yeah they totally flipped the stacey death order and characters were missing.
And the construction worker bit there was cheesy.
But I think it actualy gave us a peter parker who was more accurate to the orginal idea of peter parker. A teenager who doesnt even know who he is, and is struggling to find himself, and is a bit of a inventer, even if he steals stuff from where he's inturning just to finish some of his gadgets.
I also saw it in a digital theater but in 2d. Except fro maybe the lizard, i dont see the cheepness. The camera quality wasnt that bad.
Movie Bob is just in Nerd Rage mode.
I saw it for free, and snuck in a 1 leter of coke and a double cheeseburger.
I say, wate for netflix to stream it.

Screw paying for any food in a theater lol.

Spidermew pretty much has the same viewpoints as myself, except I still think its worth seeing on the big screen. Go early for matinee.

Can some mod or admin quote my post from the past thread since it was on the same topic? I'd appreciate it instead of retyping it all.
