Super Mario: Midas Touch is confirmed to have online co-op, and that the only playable chars are the Mario Bros.

Super Mario: Backgrounds-With-Actual-Effort-Put-Into-Them is carrying over the "play as your Mii" thing the original 2D Mario Wii U demo had, and rumor has it that it will have online co-op as well.

Personally I find it weird to want online co-op in a Mario game, but then again I'm not much of an online gamer (in the sense of playing vs games or co-op online, plus my gaming internet sucks) so yeah

wow! i played of mario and this one looks pretty freakin cool. i know my daughter will love this and my son.  i will have to sneak  a game in when they sleep! .

Kind of sounds like how LBP gets on PS3. Easily the loudest game (yelling wise) that is played here.
