for me, i play alot of fighting games, its my first love in video gaming. so i been using the xbox controllers so long i am used to it. ps2/3 controller design is always been on spot for fighting games , plus its good for lil handed people... i am just joking.  :D but its a great controller, not as cool for shooters for me tho. 360 pad just rocks solid in that.  that wii controller is indeed a 360 pad in design just cosmetics in different way a lil bit but pretty much same. so its cool to me for fighting games since it has a 360 design but nintendo dont be having any fighters ( and do not say any BRAWL!) on they system i would even wanna play in all these years. maybe one of the upcoming ones perhaps, but not right now for me , havent seen any i think.

yeah its a good controllers for shooters and adventure games but for fighting games its like i really gotta put in a extra 40% to play accurate. but im used to it. I still rather use the PS3 pad. But what im saying is they could have chose a better design. I cant really see the dynamics on that directional pad if its the same as 360 but i assume it is

Don't worry the impending lawsuit will change its design soon enough.

''because befoe this came round that was the nintendo controller...

My point is, Nintendo doesn't have fighting games for it... Why would you start playing them on it now?

Though Maybe the Wii U will change that.

true! cause that is just plain crazy to use their design.  i would have sworn if i didnt know mit was a nintendo joystick that it was a 360 new one. they do need to change it or make that be one of those madcatz lowwer offbrand joints you can buy for fighting games., not a sole debut controller.

well for starters Tatsunoko vs Capcom (before it came to the US) was the only reason i got a Wii and the controller (the second type) they had for it (to me) was way better than the game cube's. It was basically a snes pad design which in my day i whipped a lotta @ss in fighting games with that kind of controller on the snes....so seeing the Wii U doesnt put in my mind they wont have another (well...temporary) exclusive and cool fighting game for it.

again tatsunoko vs capcom (the import) is the only game i have for the wii :-??....I dont sleep on Nintendo [-X...They are not as hardcore as they once was but anyway thats the same thing a lot of folks did (sleep) and then TvsC came out of no where and people were pretty shocked^^ Im keeping my open on this one as far what games it may get. Hell, we may get a TvsC 2 on that system....maybe maybe not

Back to the news....

seems Xbox 360 is heating up even more in some cool features and exclusives:

-Capcom announced the first Resident Evil 6 DLC will be available exclusively for Xbox 360; Activision also confirmed that DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops II will arrive on Xbox 360 first.

-Crystal Dynamics announced that Xbox 360 will get a time exclusive DLC for Tomb Raider.

Microsoft announced that Internet Explorer is coming to Xbox 360 this fall. It will be integrated with Xbox SmartGlass and Kinect, for you to easily navigate websites on your TV, you can also use tablet or smartphone to control the browser on Xbox 360.

-Microsoft officially announced Xbox SmartGlass, which integrates your Windows, iOS and Android tablets and smartphones to Xbox 360. Your devices can display relevant information of what you play and watch on the Xbox 360. For example when you watch a show, the tablet and smartphone can display show info at the same time.

-Microsoft reveals that players can also use Xbox SmartGlass as a tablet controller for your Xbox 360 games, similar to the idea of Nintendo's Wii U Gamepad tablet. The cool part is that you can use ANY tablet or smartphone as your controller.

-Microsoft announced Xbox Music, a new music service which can be shared on multiple devices including Xbox 360, Windws 8 PCs, tablets and Windows mobile phones.

-Microsoft announced both NBA, NHL games are coming to Xbox 360 in next season. ESPN on Xbox will get 24/7 live broadcasts in HD.

-Microsoft will enable voice search for Netflix, Vudu and Best Buy Cinema, and will support multiple languages.

-Microsoft's racer Forza Horizon will be out in US on Oct 23, 2012, the game will have illegal street racing elements.

-EA announced that FIFA 13 and Madden NFL 13 will have Kinect support for controller free gameplay.

-Microsoft and Ubisoft have officially announced Spliter Cell: Blacklist for Xbox 360, featuring Sam Fisher and Michael Ironside in the game; and the game will have Kinect integration to enhance classic Splinter Cell moves.

Dead Island: Riptide’ Is All New

http://gamerant.com/dead-island-riptide-new-game-price-mole-154221/

Quote
After the official announcement, some players were unsure whether or not Dead Island: Riptide would be a full new game, or simply a remake of the original Dead Island with new enhancements. Deep Silver’s Aubrey Norris confirmed via Twitter (@Chupacaubrey) that Riptide will be a brand new game.

Part of the confusion stemmed from Riptide’s pricing model. As with most new console games, the original Dead Island launched for $59.99, whereas Riptide will be priced at the slightly more affordable $49.99. Why the low price? According to Norris, it has everything to do with the waning of the current console generation.
