I know I've been away from this site for what must be around three years now but some very good friends of mine have a request/challenge for some 8-BIT NES style work.
Okay, so..............My friends are a Calgary Punk/Indie/Synth band called Sharks Aren't Scavengers & they have an awesome concept for their first EP release. Besides vinyl they're also releasing a 3 track EP on
8-BIT Nes cartridge!!! 
They're looking for artists to present something for it, maybe a title screen, menu screen etc. It could possibly be animated (memory requirements allowing)
"As I said in the post, along side our vinyl EP, we are releasing an 8bit version on NES cartridge. We aren't sure yet exactly what that will look like, or what we want to do with it, but we are hoping to have our three songs on there. I haven't thought about the visuals to0 much and I would be very open to any ideas. I think it would be cool to build off of some of the typical art styles used in classic nes games. I imagine that we would have a credits screen, menu screen and individual screens for each song (with images reflecting the moods and characteristics of the songs). We are really influenced by the concept of Youth (which is the title of our EP). The concept that as children we are pure and golden, but as you grow up all that magic seems to disappear. It is truly our life goal to find a way to preserve that idealism, to always see things as wonderful and beautiful, to not become jaded, to stay golden. We are really influences by the universe, especially by celestial bodies. Learning about space has opened up or perception to a world far beyond ourselves. Which gives us an interesting view on happenings in our own lives. (brief overview)
