I know how  upside down is the comunity and all with the open source crap but to be honest...

A lot of us (IMT core) are starting to get tired seeing people that think they are the best creators in the world by remaking and editing a real character to turn him/her into somekind of cheap abomination.

That's why I'm asking in a polite way to not repost anything related of your so called "W.I.P." again on this site.

I can't make you stop to edit and create your new crappy character but I can stop you from promoting laziness around the community here.

first of all i don't think my creation is the best
second , yes im editing something, but is not go to be a cheap abomination, do you think i don't have common sense?? i'm not supermistery u know??

1) I didn't say that you were thinking that you are the best creator in the world but I didn't know either if you already have that idea on your mind or not...
 
2) That's all editors always say...
And also... Supermistery is the king of cheap abominations but that doesn't mean he is the only one who can do that.

I haven't tried your character but I haven't seen or tried a normal or at least hard but not cheap God/Evil/Orochi/Violent and all that crap edited character either...

Maybe I shouldn't call your character crappy because that's only the point of view of almost all the IMT core and not from the 100% of the community so...

Just don't show your edited character around here because like I said before...
We don't want to promote laziness around the community here.

1) That's right... You or any other editor can't.

2) Make a real edited character from scratch and don't use other people works if you want to know the real feeling of a real W.I.P.

I'll be straight up honest and say that it makes no sense. You have every right to post your WIP. An edit or not, it's a damn good edit from the looks of it and not some cheap character like every other edit in Mugen. I think you should have every right into posting your WIP here.

True a edit is just a fancy word for new character but it does promote lazyness it starts with one single edit that turns out to be a name swap like jay said then a whole mess of people start to edit other characters saying that they made the sprites but them together and he does in fact delete the read me Thing so yea sasuke is right Edits Prove to Be a Lazy Way To Make Characters They have To Be Different from the original inorder to count even so you could stand to make your own sprites

an edit is lazy if it had no new sprites so in order to be considered not Lazy you have to make some diffrent sprites since everything we make is mostly an edit but it had diffrent sprites and diffrent attributes

Well, Sasuke-Kun might have a point,but a quite contradictory,taking in account that 2 members of this forum have already released edits from P.o.t.S characters already...And they weren`t major edits to the characters(you know who i`m talking about,but don`t get me wrong ,i`m not underestimated anyone who edits an existing char)
I think you might need to talk to dif global mods,to check their points of view or even checking with the admins if you feel like

That`s my point...He`s actually editing several stuff on his wip(stance,some new moves,etc)Besides,Pots characters became open source recently,so he`s able to do that as long as he credits the original creator(something he is always stated and states at the Guild wip thread)
I also agree that editing someone else`s char promotes lazyness on the creation,but the personal touches are the stuff that makes that char unique,instead of just a palette swap and a name change

Yea i see now a true edit has to become more then a pallet and name change it has to be diffrent from the original

k let me clear up some things.
i think every one can't deny that every edit released so far after the open source thing is either broken or not as good as it was meant to be....i was disappointed in all of these edits
open source material is a privilege....unfortunately some ppl don't see that
releasing badly edited, made, or broken characters and taking credit for it is pointless
specially if the editor thought he is actually a great creator by making these broken stuff.
what sasuke is saying is based on the recently released edits and pal swaps...so i guess now you know where he is coming from.

Not really, if you actually went in to change code, some some sprites, change the variables in a code to experiment how it works and when you finally get what you want isn't neccesarily being lazy.
