sprite color problem

My Super Buu by Copycat works in Mugen 1.0, but for some reason his energy type attacks look funny. I looked at the sprites in fighter factory and the colors are all messed up. In winmugen they look great, but in 1.0 they look screwed up. Help?

1.0 shouldn't mess the sprites up at all unless he's got the palettes completely wrong.

Winmugen runs your character .act file from sprite 0,0. He may not have this sprite so 1.0 is not behaving itself. Was this a straight copy paste conversion or was some work actually done to update it?

no work done at all. I just brought him over with the rest of the chars.

IIRC dragonclaw had the same problem. I think the fix is probably the same as the one mentioned for Eliza here. Check the sff file, see if there is a sprite 0,0. If not, clone one of the sprites and designate it as that.

Fixed. It was actually something pretty silly. I went to see if he had the 0,0 sprite and he did. Then I noticed he only has one act file. And it wasn't his default. So I changed it to pal 1 and the colors were working normal. I have no idea why that worked but it did. Thanks for the advice though. After you told me what to do I realized the 0,0 sprite problem was the reason why one of my Etrigan chars wasn't working. So either way you helped big time.
