I remember when team infinity in the early days of RMM toyed around with the idea of doing a metroidvania MM game. Nice to see there is one being worked on.

Unfortunately I never played through the ZX series.  I recall beating the first few stages of the first game one time though.  Perhaps one day.

Okay, so I've been playing the CBT for Mega Man X DiVE...

Honestly, it feels better than it has any reason to. With controller support that actually works, the control is spot on.

I mean, granted, it does mobile things: There's a gatcha system for unlocking Characters, weapons, upgrade materials, but so far none of it seems like the slider for pay vs play is off balance.

And considering this is running off of a modified version of the Maverick Hunter X engine, Capcom should just take this an make it a standard for future titles in general.

Well, now that I finally made it to Level 20, why yes, yes I can.

Each "Hunter Program" (The representation of the characters in the game) have different special abilities that you can strengthen and augment.
Ex: X has Charge Shot and Piercing Shot, Zero had Ryuingen and Rekkoha, Axl has Rolling Blitz and Death Blossom, etc.

You have two weapons equipped at any given time and anyone can carry any weapon.
Ex: X has HP with Saber and Laser Rifle, Alia with Z-Rapier and Shotgun, etc.

There's an energy system in the game that progress is balanced around. Each level costs a set amount of E-tanks to play. Once you're out of E-tanks, you can't play anymore unless you either rest up or pay out Metals to get more.

There's a rewards system in the game that gives you metals, Zenny, and E-tanks for doing Daily achievement, completing progression achievements, and a daily login of course.

The gatcha system is in the upgradable stuff. Unlocking characters and weapons requires getting enough of their memory chips, as well as raising their rank. You can get them from the Capsule section in two forms, Zenny Capsules and Metal Capsules. Zenny is of course your basic currency and metals are the premium currency.

After you hit lvl 20, you can start build armor parts. Armor parts are like the extended levels in an MMO and count across all your characters. You get compnents for parts in the Co-Op area which unlocks after you hit lvl 20.

That's not all of it, but that about as much as I can cover off the top of my head.

My big take away from this Beta experience is this: THIS is the game that Rockman Cover SHOULD have been. I hope that they decide to Add Over-1 as a playable Hunter Program in the future. It would have been perfect if he was the starting character even.

Release will be before the year's end, Whenever the Asus Rog II phone comes out since it'll be reloaded on the phone.

I forgot, Characters will also have the ability to get skins. For instance, Classic X can get his Command Mission look as a skin.

Datamining has revealed quite a bit of stuff. Some things we already knew like Cinnamon being playable and the confirmation of characters outside of the X series like Classic Megaman, Protoman & Mega Man Zero, all of which they've talked about doing.

However, there's a TON of other things we didn't know.

They did mention that there's going to be a Open Public Beta to goes out before the final game launch, Can't wait for that to come back around. I need to learn how to level properly. I bearly hit Lvl 20 before the beta ended but I saw players with like twice my power level in the co-op area of the game.
