Looks like Ecole Software gonna give online mode play to the game (not on launch, most likely as dlc or patch of some sort sometime after launch). However, they want to test the netcode first, which is why they will be releasing a demo for testing and feedback purposes. For those interesting head over to the Melty Blood website.
