It's definitely the best shooting game series I've ever played. I'm actually one of those few who play it for the story. Multiplayer isn't that bad either, it's just better if you get a LAN party or play online with 8-10 friends you know.

Just got the game today. The controls feel very awesome and I like how the gun shooting sounds a lot better than before... One thing I don't like is that I can't turn down the sound effect volume, I can only turn down the game volume...

so far the only complaint i have for this game is finding matches. for some reason match making takes forever and there are alot of dropped lobbies/connections that happen. aslo when playing yesterday i got an error message "out of memory 14" which caused me to go from level 28 back to level 25, loosing everything i gained and had to get them all back today

Okay, it isn't happening for a good while, but what reason do I have for choosing to get this game?

I know it's obviously a good game, but what is exceptional about it?

a lot a small things but the biggest turnoff was the only difference between mw2 and 3 are the maps, weapon are different with perk rearranged but nothing new.

lol.

I mean in the way that I know it has to be a solid game, not a thrown-together thing.

I'm not sure you know this, but the very idea that cod is a good game is what I'm laughing at.

if you liked mw2 then i see no reason for yo to dsilike mw3 :-?? its improved in my opinion like i said before the match making servers are the only thing that i dislike about it. theres no reason to complain about perks theyre the same just with new names except commando, danger close, and 1man army and those were cheap perks anyway lol

in my opinion mw2 was way better than blackops. black ops could have been good to me but 2 things made the game terrible.
1) hitmarkers were broken since day one and they were never fixed. you could clearly shoot someone and they survive and kill you even though they've been hit and you'll see the markers show up indicating your bullets hit them. even in kills you will see a big lag from when the bullets hit them to when they actually die.
2) the respawning sucked also. in mw2 when you die you are respawned on the opposite side of the map from your enemies but in blackops you'll pop up anywhere sometimes even right infront of them just to be killed again :-w
other than that i just liked the guns/maps/killstreaks that were in mw2 more than black ops. i also hated that shotguns were primary weapons and for some reason mw3 has done the same thing ~X( but there is a perk that lets you use two primaries so i guess that makes up for it :-??
if you like mw2 then mw3 should be an improvement to you with the new game modes and styles to play assault/support with each class you customize having its  own killstreaks. also what i like that they did is your killsteaks reset instead of you having to die to get them again

Modern Warfare series has always had a better storyline and better multiplayer than any Call Of Duty game I've ever played. If you're a fan of the storyline, then definitely get this one. There are a lot of references to mw2 and even some from mw1. The multiplayer is much better in this game than in mw2 as well. The maps are definitely bigger and have a lot of cover to hide behind than in mw2. The campaign difficulty is slightly less than in mw2 in my opinion. I would say the killstreaks and level ups are much more rewarding as well. The way you level up guns is better as well.

Honestly, if you just played World at War and Black Ops, then don't get this game before at least renting and beating mw1 & mw2's storyline.

If you're a true fan of the series, definitely get this game.

Note: There are a lot of new things with the multiplayer that you can play around with. More classes, more weapons, shotguns are a higher priority which is pretty cool for me because I used the AA-12 A.FREAKING.LOT! in mw2 lol.

All in all, solid game so far. Quite a few things have been upgraded since mw2, though i'd like to remind you that it is A SEQUEL! It's not a new game like Black Ops was. I dislike how people are complaining about it being mw2.5 ... IT'S A SEQUEL! OF COURSE IT IS! (It's more like mw2.8 in my opinion... they fixed quite a lot, and I feel myself wanting to rage quit quite a lot less. lol.)

MW3 is like an expansion pack for MW2: new maps and a few new modes. It's almost as if the game could have been released as DLC. That being said, it's not necessarily a bad game; it's just nothing new. There is no huge leap in innovation or improvement in this game. There is still terrible balancing issues with guns and perks. In my opinion, the maps are awful - worst of the series. However, the feel of the game is still fluid and fast paced. As Swiz said, if you liked MW2, you will like MW3. Personally, I think it's starting to feel dated. I still like CoD4 the most though - was a lot less cheapness involved and took more skill than the recent CoD games (comes with all the useless crap they've added). More than likely, I'll find myself just on Gamebattles again; that's where the fun is for me (the matchmaking gets boring pretty quick for me now). I probably won't be copping the game for myself for a little while, but it still will eventually be bought. That is all.

P.S. The Type 95 and UMP are overpowered.

Yeah! Thats what I expected!

Like I said before, same ish different year. Just saw a video of the Type 95... Its a reskin of the FAMAS. Its almost as if they don't even use the millions of dollars they make from sales to improve the game. WaW was the greatest CoD IMO.

I've liked all from MW-BO. I wasn't one of the people that said WaW was bad compared to MW, or the people who said BO was garbage compared to MW2. But from what I can tell, there is nothing crazy great about this one. I'll probably get it...eventually.

Basically. A Type 95 (QBZ 95) is basically a Chinese FAMAS design wise. In the game, it feels like a different gun, and it has a slightly different look too (you can compare a model side-by-side if you want). Much stronger than the MW2 FAMAS though, it was extra weak in that game. I agree though, but Activision wants these games out on a yearly basis, so I'm not surprised. I didn't like WaW all that much. Every game after 4 has pretty much been a copy of 4 though, with added dung.

I'm interested to see what Vince Zampella and Jason West do at Respawn Entertainment. Maybe they will be able to push the envelope again with FPS like they did with CoD4 now that they are free of Activision. Only time will tell though.
