Favorite movie remakes

You know, as a big movie watcher (especially horror) ive grown to see folks crying about remakes and how they shouldnt be done. well i say whatever on that. Yes not all remakes are tasteful but you have classics and decent ones done either awesome or done that decent where folks who are not into horror like that would assume it was all original concepts and not a remake. i dont know how many times ive watched horror or some action movie with a family member or friend and they assumed the hot movie they just watched was original.


Here are mines

1)THE THING (yes the one by john carpenter)
2)THE FLY (by Croneberg)
3)Night of the living dead 1990
4)Dawn of the dead 2004 ( I still love the original)
5)Invasion of the body snatchers (im talking about the one from the early 80s)
6)I spit on your grave (that sh*t was pretty out there though)
7)Last house on the left (if i didnt know about the original i would have thought this was)
8)The hills have eyes (I liked the remake because they didnt hold back on the gore and the acting was good)
9)death race (and yes the remakes are way better than that stallone one "death race 2000")
10)Let me in (i saw the remake first before the original which i heard was way better)
11)THE BLOB ( in jhs that movie was the sh*t and i already saw the two past originals as a kid)

Everybody has their own opinions. Im a kid from the 80s so thats how i look at remakes in horror. i came from a time that was
really no CG at all in horror. you dont see that hardly these days. the french still try to do it these days but thats how i base things with a horror movie remake that good these days. The FX. The actors. The situations etc.  

My point is not every remake is bad. its just now these days theres too many bad ones. back then it was rare. and if it was a good one you thought i was original^^   Night of the demons remake was horrible . Even the original was borderline trash but it was great because it was campy and kind of funny like how Return of the living dead was. Real horror movie fans already knew the italian DEMONS 1985 flick was the real deal over Night of the demons hands down.

thats about it that i can think of right now oh and BTW no way the remake of Death Race was better than the original, its so Campy & Great!
