Good to know you will continue working on him!  Just take your time, don't push yourself too hard.

This is megaman not pokemon.  <_<|...| But this is your character so do what you want  Just make it look good.  :)
POKEMON?!??
...I love Pokemon.
But the Solar Beam is not a Pokemon solar beam, just a... well, a beam. Huh.
I didn't want to call it just "Beam." It's like Searchman.EXE's beam. Except he himself is shooting it.

In that case, wouldn't it fit more to SolarMan? :-??

Search Ray. Sounds corny, actually. But it can work.  ::salute:: Thanks Rage!

I just discovered an amazing way to color-replace... on MS Paint! (Paint is all I use...) Now spriting Searchman will be way easier and faster! I'm so happy!
Get ready to see a boom of new sprites, everyone! I'm home! \-/o
...Isn't that something really silly to be excited about? I mean, I haven't been spriting because color replacement was a huge hassle until now. At least now I can spend less time coloring and more time putting sprites together.

Some stuff I've been working on.

Enjoy! Gotta redo the dashes, and then the guards.

Even more stuff! Once I finish all the guards, again  8=|, then I can start on the most dreaded sprites in existense: the get hits.  \-/o

Did you ever try more shading on Search Man?

I didn't want the shading to be too dark. I used the MM8 shading tone instead of the CD data one. Not too bright, yet not too dark.

No, you don't understand.
I'm not talking about a palette, I'm talking about the shading or the light going on the character to create depth on a 2D drawing. You must add some colors on your palette to create a shading.

Here an example on the Search Man's cannon:

Oh. I gotcha. I never considered that. May I please use that sprite? It looks so... perfect...  @-) And I'll try to render better as I continue spriting!  ::salute::

Of course you can use it, it's to help you  ;)

If you want, I can do a complete shading on one sprite of your Search Man to help you.  :-??

Thanks. And if you want to do the shading, it's completely up to you, friend. But I couldn't impose any more work on you.

Ok, I made the right parts of the character (shading and working a little on the perspectives and the head), you have to do the same thing for the left parts and the stomach..

Yes, I know. I don't like it too. But it's only because I've tried to respect and keep the drawing of Hypnotize.
If I needed to work on Search Man, I would have done it all from zero.

As much as I like the shading, I'm gonna stick with the cannon. Honestly, I kinda think I'm far enough ahead to not go back and change too much. The cannon will be changed, but everything else is staying the same. I'm trying to keep the shading on the body close to the MvC Megaman style, mixed with Searchman's actual shades, which is why the shading on the legs and body isn't as detailed. I do appreciate the help, don't get me wrong. I'm just very impatient and I wanna continue with what I've got.

^^(PM)^

i was going to say this. Dont move to far away from the mvc shading style. Also the current heads are the best  and should be kept.
