Thanks for the input everyone. Based on most the feedback I've gotten, and my personal tastes I think I'm going to end up doing something with #2.

My main reasons for not sticking with 3 is although it has more visual appeal it doesn't realy match Link's battle style the legs are too far apart, the position of the shield holds little practical use, and as some have pointed out it looks too much of Hayato.
