I gotthis last friday for ps2 and I'm more than a little dissapointed with it, firstly I traded in my bt2 for it only to start playing and realise that the story mode is f**k*** tiny in comparison, to highlight this, I am at the start of the majin buu saga and in the special saga I am at the goten vs broli fight.... the completion rating is 50%!!!
The 2nd game lasted way longer, plus it seems the creators have taken a step back and made it more frustrating like the 1st bt game, the customisation is shoddy, not even affecting story mode (unlike in bt2) and some of the fights are downright annoying... gohan vs perfect cell? - goku vs broli? and what about any challenge fights against tapion, slug, piccolo or krillin? I mean KRILLIN? he was the laughing stock of the show, I think yajirobe got more respect than krillin!!
I haven't even got onto this disc swap thing they want you to do to unlock extra modes....WHY! why do this now, what's wrong with just reading data off my memory card like the previous game?
It's just all plain wrong!

i picked it up today, but i won't be able to really sit down and play it until next week because of exams.

i sat down and played it for a minute, i haven't really gotten far enough to pass judgement, some of the new story mode fights are really long with multiple parts, like the show. I beat the world tournament with SSJ3 Goku in the saiyan training outfit and it was cool.

Yeah, I wasn't saying it was all bad, the story battles are cool, I'd just like it if the changes you made in evolution z affected it, speaking of which, do you not find it wierd that you only need one item in it and can put it on everybody?

wow, the story mode is reall disappointing.

what's the point of having 150 characters if the story mode only uses like 1/4 of them?
they skipped a bunch of crucial stuff, no saibamen, no gotenks vs. Buu, no Gohan vs. Buu, no captain ginyu, and

else.
as far as gameplay, there's some improvements and some stuff i don't like, but they did a decent job making most of the characters feel different.

To use them in Multiplayer, since when's story mode such an important aspect in Fighting games, besides this is some improvement since the first Budokai, every other game had crappy 1P Mode.

Well how many times do you want to go through the whole DBZ/GT story experience

? I think the reason why story mode isn't as good this year is that everyone has played through that same story, over and over again.

Hahaha Yeah, I think they took the right way, You already got a nice One Player mode in Budokai and Neo, Now onto a better gameplay.
